Tuwang-tuwa pa namang ibinalita ng aktor sa kanyang Twitter account na nanalo sila sa ginanap na Frisbee International Tournament sa Alabang Country Club nu’ng Sabado.
Itinakbo sa Asian Hospital si Derek at binigyan ng first aid at agad ngang in-schedule kahapon ang 10-hour operation at base sa tweet ng aktor kahapon bandang 8 a.m., “My biggest nightmare! Everything happens for a reason.
I think this a sign for me to say goodbye to the sport I love so much.”
Sinundan pa niya ito ng, “My forearm is broken in three places. Operation is at 9 am to have metal plates put in. Tnx for all your prayers.”
Kuwento naman ng handler ni Derek na si Donna, “Wala po kasi ako nu’ng nangyari. Ang kuwento po, lumabas ‘yung buto sa laman. Hindi pa po namin siya nabibisita ni sir Joji (Dingcong, manager ni Derek) kasi tulog pa ‘yun dahil sa operation. Mamayang hapon pa, update namin kayo.”
