MELANIE MARQUEZ

FORMER Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez suffered some back and breast bone fractures recently, ayon sa ipinadalang detalye ng anak niyang si Maxene through their Philippine-based production assistant na si Susan.

“Apat (4) po silang magkakasama. Mom has a fractured sternum, fractured t2, compressed fracture in the L1. Arlene has 3 broken ribs and a fractured sternum. Nanay Derecita has a fractured back. Adam (Melanie’s son) is okay.

“The accident happened in between Mesquite, Nevada and St. George Utah. The truck hit black ice causing it to slip and go into the cement canal. They were all wearing their seatbelts. It happened on December 7, 2013 at around 5:30 pm.

“Mom’s doctor (Dr. Watson) said that it will take 8-12 weeks for mom to recover. She will need to wear a back braces when she gets discharged.

Salamat din sa Diyos at walang casualty and her son Adam just had a few bruises at hindi malala.

God bless all of them.
