NAGING malaking concern ng publiko at gobyerno ang mga nagseseksihang billboards sa EDSA kamakailan. Nag-react ang ilang government officials at sinusugan naman ng non-government-organizations pati na ng ilang indibidwal. Kabilang sa ‘di na nailabas na billboard ay ang sexy pictorial ng young actress na si Lovi Poe.

Matagal nang nakapag-pictorial si Lovi para sa dalawang naglalakihang endorsements niya kung saan naka-underwear lang siya sa billboard. Pero hindi na ‘yun lumabas pa. Sa presscon ng latest movie niyang “My Neighbor’s Wife” ng Regal Films directed by Jun Lana kasama sina Jake Cuenca, Dennis Trillo at Carla Abellana nakausap ng BANDERA si Lovi at narito ang aming one-on-one interview with her.

BANDERA: Ilang taon ka na ngayon?
LOVI POE: I’m 22. So, finally tumatanda na. Hahahaha!
B: Feel na feel mo na ba ang pagiging ganap na babae?
LP: Not yet. I have lot of things to learn pa. And marami pa akong dapat matutunan.

B: Ano pa ang kailangan mong matutunan?
LP: Well, I don’t know. I guess I’m still the same girl, I still do the same things, you know, fun and and crazy things. I don’t think I’ll ever be a woman. Someday maybe.

B: Ano ang na-feel mo nang hindi natuloy ilabas ‘yung billboard mo?
LP: Well, of course nalungkot ako. I’ve been waiting for that to come out. Pero nataon nga na gano’n, wala naman tayong magagawa. We just have to respect their decision.

B: Ikaw ba ay naniniwala na dapat i-prevent ‘yang mga ganyan?
LP: Well, I think there are certain limitations. That really depends on what the billboards look like. You know when it’s art, or when it’s not.

B: Para sa ‘yo, art ba ‘yung billboard mo?
LP: Yeah, a lot of billboards I think. Owners of whatever company, whatever brand wouldn’t think of something that is not art because, lahat naman ‘yan, eh, every product they sell, it has to be something as classy and perfect.

B: Ano ang masasabi mo sa mga mayor na nagpapatanggal niyan?
LP: Well, wala naman tayong magagawa kasi they are the ones who are in charge and we just have to respect that, and we follow.

B: Do you wish to continue that?
LP: Well, for me, it wouldn’t be nice for me, eh. Wala, eh, that’s just how it is.

B: Naka-two-piece ka ba?
LP: Naka-sando nga ako.
B: And then panty?
LP: Yeah. Tapos ‘yung Belo hindi pa nailalagay na-disapprove na. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to talk about it.

B: What can you say kapag kina-categorize ka bilang sexy actress? Nao-offend ka ba?
LP: No, naman. I can’t tell myself that… I think I just pose sexy when it’s needed for a shoot. I make sure that when I do a role, it’s not just being sexy, it’s supposed to be a meaningful role. Kumbaga, kung sexy man ang gagawin ko, it should be an acting piece. But if it’s all about being sexy, I won’t. Kailangang may lalim.

B: Do you really feel that you’re sexy?
LP: No, eh. I’m still very shy.

B: Ano bang mga outfit na isinusuot mo?
LP: Very laidback. Ako, I’m just the type of person who wears shirt and shorts as long as I wear heels.

B: What about sa pagtulog, ano ang outfit mo?
LP: Nothing! Hahahaha! No, no, no. Anything. Depends on my mood. Kidding.

B: Halimbawa, Ganado ka, ano ang outfit mo?
LP: Wala…

B: Kung wala ka sa mood?
LP: Underwear? Shirt.

B:What about ‘pag naliligo ka?
LP: Ha-hahaha!

B: Alam mo ba na sexy ka?
LP: Hindi ko alam. Posing, whatever, it’s just a job for me. I just have to do well at it. I don’t have much confidence, I have lots of insecurities.

B: Ano ang mga insecurities ni Lovi Poe?
LP: I have a lot. I am not perfect, there are lots of Barbie doll-looking girls. It’s probably nice to look like them, but no.

B: Sino para sa ‘yo ang top 3 sexiest men sa showbiz?
LP:      This is not by sequence. Jake, obvious naman. Sino pa ba? Jericho Rosales. I mean he’s a good actor, it’s the totality. Richard Guttierrez. He has these very expressive eyes.

B:     You have one thing in common pala ni Jake: Jolo-Melissa. Ikut-ikot lang, ‘no?
LP:     I don’t know. It’s hard to think about something I haven’t thought of.

B:     Wala namang issue kung sakali na ex niya si Melissa na na-link kay Jolo?
LP:     There’s nothing going on with me and Jake.

B:     Ano ang reaction mo na your dad “won” pala talaga sa election?
LP:     Siyempre, in my heart naman talagang siya ‘yung nanalo. Haven’t been watching the news, but then, siguro tahimik na rin si Papa. For me naman, I knew in my heart and in my mind and there’s no need for declaration that he’s a good person, there’s no need to be on top, or declare him as the president or whatever.

B: Siyempre sinasabi nila, hindi namatay ang dad mo kung hindi siya nadaya. Sinasabi na ang reason ng death niya ay sobrang sama ng loob.
LP: Well, you know, we all have our time naman. For me, nakakalungkot that he’s gone, but then, ‘yung legacy naman na iniwan niya ay hindi naman matatanggal ‘yun. Whether he won or he didn’t, ‘yung mga iniwan niyang memories sa mga taong nagmamahal sa kanya, ‘yun naman ang importante.

B: Ang Tita Susan mo, if ever they will need your support nandiyan ka ba?
LP: Of course. I’ll always be here naman for them.

B: Sana pala ikaw ang naging presidential daughter. Na-imagine mo ba?
LP: I don’t think I’ll fit in.

B: Bakit naman?
LP:     Look at me and my bikini billboards.

B: Paano kung naging presidential daughter ka, hindi mo gagawin ‘yun?
LP: That depends. The more you say no, the more I’ll do it.

B: Rebelde ka ba talaga?
LP: No, I’m just kidding.

B: Pero kung naging presidente ang tatay mo, you think you’ll be an actress?
LP: Hindi ko alam. It really depends. I really like to do my own stuff, stuff na kaya kong gawin, gagawin ko sa sarili ko. Hindi naman ako type na magdedepende.
B: Anu-ano ang latest projects mo bukod sa “My Neighbor’s Wife”?
LP: ‘Aswang’ with Dingdong Dantes. Katatapos lang ng ‘Captain Barbell’.
