Ogie Alcasid: TNT ang pinakamahirap na singing contest sa buong mundo!

PARA sa Ultimate Singer-Songwriter na si Ogie Alcasid, ang “Tawag ng Tanghalan” ng “It’s Showtime” ang pinakamahirap na singing contest sa buong universe.
Naniniwala si Ogie na matindi at hindi talaga biro ang pinagdaraanang challenges ng bawat contestant sa naturang singing competition
Isa si Ogie sa mga hurado ngayon ng “TNT Grand Resbak” kasama sina Jed Madela, Karylle, Pops Fernandez, Lani Misalucha at Louie Ocampo.
“Na-excite kasi ako sa format nito. Napakaganda ng format nito. Makikita natin na patibayan ito. It’s nice to see old faces. It’s doubly exciting to see new faces.
“Alam n’yo po, itong Tawag ng Tanghalan, ito ang pinakamahirap na singing contest sa buong mundo, dare I say. I think all of you would agree. It stands the test of time,” pahayag ng husband ng Asia’s Songbird na si Regine Velasquez sa naganap na presscon kamakailan ng “TNT.”
“I think there was a season na parang tumagal tayo ng halos isang taon. Season 6 yun. It’s a marathon. Patibayan ito. Ang tagal ng season na yun. So isang taon kang kakanta, ganun katindi yun. But this is a very special season so I’m very excited,” pahayag pa ni Ogie.

Nabanggit din ni Ogie na never siyang nanalo sa mga singing contest, “Real talk. I wasn’t built for this. I never won a singing contest. You know why? Because I never joined one. Ha-hahaha! Because I knew there were so many other that were better than me.
“So what did I do? I started writing songs about myself, how I felt, and then I started singing them on my own. That was my turn.
“So that is my advice, talk to yourself. Really ask yourself how bad do you want this. Gusto ko ba maging kampyon? And then watch yourself. You know how to make yourself better.
“You’ve already honed your talent and you know what it feels like when you’ve nailed a performance. So I think it’s really more of a mental thing. Kausapin niyo yung sarili niyo.
“Matanda na kasi ako, so I think there have been many opportunities that I thought were meant for me but never transpired. And of course, it comes with greater disappointment.
“Parang ikamamatay mo kapag hindi mo makuha, ‘di ba? Pero minsan, I think at this point in my life, what I’ve embraced is, I know that there is a better plan for me, from the Man above,” sey pa ni Ogie.
