Davao City #WalangPasok sa March 17 dahil sa ‘Araw ng Pasasalamat’

IDINEKLARANG special non-working day sa Davao City sa darating na Lunes, March 17!
Ito ay ayon mismo sa Malacañang matapos pirmahan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin ang Proclamation No. 825 noong March 11.
Sabi sa inilabas na dokumento, ito ay para makapag-participate ang Davaoeños sa “Araw ng Pasasalamat” na alinsunod sa pagdiriwang ng “88th Araw ng Dabaw.”

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” sey sa pahayag.
Ang nasabing selebrasyon ay opisyal na inumpisahan at pinangunahan ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Davao noong March 1.
Tampok sa month-long festivities ang iba’t-ibang pasabog na gimik na ibinabandera ang kasaysayan at kultura ng lugar.
Ilan lamang sa mga aktibidad ay ang thanksgiving mass sa San Pedro Cathedral, Araw ng Dabaw Fair, Kundiman at Harana sa Araw ng Dabaw, at marami pang iba.
