‘Secret Ingredient’ ni Julia siguradong pakikiligin, patatakamin ang fans

MAPAPANOOD na ang inaabangang Asian drama na “Secret Ingredient” na pinagbibidahan ni Julia Barretto kasama ang Korean star na si Sang Heon Lee at Indonesian actor na si Nicholas Saputra!
Nako, tiyak na kikiligin ang fans and at the same time ay matatakam dahil bukod sa love story, itatampok din ang mga pagkain ng iba’t-ibang kultura, partikular na sa Pilipinas at Indonesia.
Noong April 28, isa ang BANDERA sa mga naimbitahan sa official launch ng serye na ginanap sa Taguig City.
Bongga ang pagpo-promote ni Julia sa araw na ‘yan kung saan nagkaroon muna siya ng mall show kasama ang batikang aktres na si Dimples Romana na nagsilbing host ng event at ang guest performers ay ang Pinoy pop boy group na Alamat.

Pagkatapos naman niyan ay dumiretso na ang aktres sa exclusive press conference at advance screening ng first two episodes ng kanyang K-Drama na ginanap naman sa isang hotel sa BGC.
Maliban sa piling entertainment press at influencers, talagang nagpakita ng all-out support ang pamilya ni Julia.
Present ang kanyang ina na si Julia, pati ang mga kapatid na sina Leon at Erich.
Ayon kay Julia, proud na proud siyang maging parte ng nasabing Viu series dahil bukod sa ito ang kauna-unahan niyang Asian drama ay naipakita rin niya globally ang talento ng Pinoy pagdating sa pag-arte, pati na rin siyempre ang mga masasarap na putahe sa ating bansa.
“This being my first global series, this being a collaboration between Unilever who I have been with this year for a decade now and Viu who I have been working with for the first time, I’m so proud to be part of this. So proud to work with both SLH and Nicholas. And this project means so much to me,” sey niya.
Patuloy niya, “Everyday hindi ko alam na parang how do I get so lucky to be part of a project something just as special as this, so masaya ako. Buo na ang taon ko, parang ganun.”
Dagdag pa ng Pinay actress, “Kinilig din ako sa experience na ‘to kasi maha-highlight natin ‘yung Filipino dishes globally…I’m super excited kasi lahat ng Filipino favorites will really be part of the show.”

Nang tanungin naman si Julia kung paano siya naghanda para sa kanyang role, “Lahat kami nag-culinary school, nag-short course kami. More than the cooking, it was the preparation, the fabrication, the deboning. Mas technical ‘yung tinuro sa amin.”
At bilang dalawa ang makakatambal ni Julia sa serye, inusisa siya ng mga media kung sino ang mas bet niya sa dalawa – si Heon Lee o si Nicholas?
Ang sagot niya habang natatawa, “Pwede bang both?”
Wika pa niya, “Gusto ni Maya both! Bakit one, pwede naman both…Of course, they were both so nice and pleasant to work with.”
When it comes naman sa upcoming episodes ng “Secret Ingredient,” tiniyak ng showrunner at executive producer ng serye na si Corinna Vistan na marami pang pasabog at aabangan sa mga eksena ni Julia at Pinoy dishes.
“There’s more pa. There’s a lot more to expect. This is just a start and there’s a lot more exciting scenes coming up [since] there’s a big cooking competition that was kind of teased in episode 2,” chika ni Corinna.
Kasunod niyan ay inihayag niya kung gaano siya ka-proud para kay Julia dahil sa global project na ito.
“You know, Sang Heon is this big global actor, Nicholas Saputra is the George Clooney of Indonesia, pero when Julia came on set and as you could see in all the scenes, I keep telling her all the time, I kept waving the Philippine flag. She killed it with these two big actors, so yeah, I could have been proud of her. She really, really represented [the Philippines] as well,” ani pa niya.
Samantala, heto naman ang synopsis ng K-Drama para sa mga looking forward na mapanood ito:
“Secret Ingredient stars Sang Heon Lee, who plays Ha-Joon, a Korean man who has it all – a top executive at a global 500 company hailing from one of the most distinguished families in South Korea and is consistently regarded as Asia’s top 10 most eligible bachelors. He suddenly decides to leave behind the luxurious life he is accustomed to to find some answers and hopefully, rekindle the past. His journey for answers leads him to meet Maya, played by Julia Barretto, and Chef Arif, played by Nichloas Saputra, who offer him a fresh perspective on life and teach him forgiveness, understanding and acceptance.”
Ang “Secret Ingredient” ang kauna-unahang regional drama series ng Viu na tampok ang cast na mula sa iba’t-ibang Asian countries –ang Pilipinas, South Korea at Indonesia.
Ito rin ang unang collaboration ng Viu Philippines, Unilever Nutrition SEA at Indonesia.
Ang series ay exclusive at libreng mapapanood sa Viu simula April 30 with new episodes na ire-release tuwing Martes.
