Julia sa pagiging protective ni Leon: ‘I didn’t expect ever in my life’

AMINADO ang aktres na si Julia Barretto na hindi niya inaasahang magiging “protector” ng kanilang pamilya ang nakababatang kapatid na si Leon.
Ito ang naikuwento mismo ni Julia matapos siyang tanungin sa morning talk show na “Magandang Buhay” kung saan naging guest sila ni Leon kamakailan lang.
Inungkat ng isa sa mga hosts ng programa ang naging “open letter” ni Leon kaugnay sa isyu nilang magkakapatid at amang si Dennis Padilla noong 2022.
Kung matatandaan, sinabi ni Leon sa bahagi ng kanyang pahayag: “Papa, why does it seem like you enjoy hurting your kids in public? Why do you keep posting cryptic posts about us and allow people to bash us on your own Instagram page? Do you think it does not pain all of us to not feel protected by their own father?”
Paliwanag pa niya, hindi naman daw sa ayaw nilang makipag-usap sa ama pero palagi raw kasing nauuwi ito sa hindi magandang karanasan.

Ayon kay Julia, malaki ang pasasalamat niya kay Leon dahil ito ang unang beses na may nagtanggol sa kanya sa publiko.
“Grateful of course, because I feel like all throughout, parang wala namang naging protector for me. So technically, that was the first time that somebody stood up for me and it was Leon pa,” sey ng aktres.
Chika pa niya, “I didn’t expect ever in my life that it would be my younger brother. Eh malaki na rin kasi siya so nagiging protective na siya sa girls. He’s the only boy.
Nang tanungin naman si Leon kung bakit niya ito naisipang gawin, lalo na’t wala naman siya sa showbiz.
“As the only boy in the house, I felt like it was my job also to stand up for my sisters,” sagot ng kapatid ni Julia.
Paliwanag niya, “Because my sisters don’t really want issues at the end of the day. They just want peace. But I feel sometimes that you have to stand up for yourself, but I wanted to do that for them.”
Nabanggit din ni Julia na super close sila ni Leon kahit nakabukod na siya sa kanyang pamilya.
“Actually, kami ni Leon ang palaging magkasama now. I think, kami ‘yung mas buddies now and si Erich siyempre, ‘yun ang bestfriend ko,” kwento ng aktres.
Aniya pa, “Pero si Leon kasi palagi akong sinasamahan everywhere.”
Dagdag naman ni Leon, “She’ll message last minute lang…It was never a problem that she moved out because her house is in front lang, kaya bumibisita lang ako here and there.”
