Ice Seguerra ibinandera ang Top 4 song na laging kinakanta sa videoke

NAKAKALOKA! 50 songs pala ang pinaghahandaan ng OPM icon na si Ice Seguerra para sa kanyang next major concert na “Videoke Hits” na magaganap sa Music Museum.
Kaya naman kahit medyo confident na siya sa mga kakantahin niya sa show ay halos araw-araw pa ring nagre-rehearse ang premyadong singer-songwriter.
Nakachikahan namin si Ice at ng ilan pang opisyal ng Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) last Wednesday (April 24), sa presscon ng ‘Videoke Hits” sa Fire and Ice Studios sa Quezon City na pag-aari nila ng kanyang asawang si Liza Diño.

Mula sa mga classic ballad hanggang sa mga sikat na sikat ngayong chart-toppers, ang setlist ay magtatampok ng magkakaibang choice ng kanta na pinili ng kanyang mga supporters.

Bago kasi mangyari ang videoke concert ni Ice sa May 10 and 11, nagpa-survey pa siya sa mga netizens kung anu-anong songs ang gustong-gusto nilang kinakanta sa videoke.
In fairness, libu-libo ang sumagot sa kanya, pero ang Top 4 na “most requested” at palaging kinakanta sa mga videoke bar ay ang mga kantang “You’re Still The One”, “Build Me Up Buttercup,” “Torete” at “I love You Goodbye.”
“I like the concept of the show kasi parang, I sing songs that I normally don’t sing,” simulang pagbabahagi ni Ice.
“When we were doing the lineup, so far ito yung pinaka-challenge, ako kasi sa sobrang daming kanta na kailangan mong i-fit sa 25 (songs), my God, it’s not enough, I swear.

“Sabi ko nga kung walang time limit I could go on and on. Maybe it’s ano, because I love it so much and ito, it is something I like to do, videoke,” chika ng OPM icon.
When asked who was actually the mind behind the concept, Ice shared that it was his wife, creative director and former Film Development Council of the Philippines chair Liza Diño.
“It was my concept pero pinag-uusapan namin lahat kasi nakikita ko talaga siya eh. Sabi ko, ‘Love sana nakikita ng mga tao lahat kung paano ka mag-videoke.
“You know, I would love for the audience to experience how Ice is na raw, hind yung set up,” Liza said, where she even revealed how Ice have his own portable mic and videoke at home.

Magiging interactive din ang concert, sey ni Ice, “We have different segments. So, number one, ito yung ‘Welcome To My Videoke World’, that’s where you hear yung mga ini-input ko na mga kanta every time I do videoke. Ito yung mga top hits ko.”
Sabi naman ni Liza, bilang Creative Director ng show, “The next is ‘Your Videoke Favorites’, ito naman yung para sa audience. Yung by request, basically, we have a list of songs that the audience will choose from on the day of the show. May digital songbook.
“Pagpasok ng audience, they get to key in their favorite song. Live poll siya na kahit si Ice hindi alam yung top three na songs na kakantahan niya. Iba yung May 10, iba rin yung for May 11,” sabi pa ng dating Chairperson ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
“Yung next segment naman is called ‘Ice-cified’. Ito talaga yung you will listen to Ice’s rendition of videoke classic songs that you loved.
“The last part is ‘Jam with Ice’. Ito yung may mga jammers, may mga artists din na pupunta na kinakausap namin,” sabi pa ni Liza.
“Si Ice kasi nandoon na siya ngayon sa parang he really wants to be more in touch with the fans kasi after having ‘Becoming Ice’ kasi di ba ang laki niya masyado and ang tagal din niyang di nakapag-concert, after that Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, napagod siya.
“Sabi niya, ‘Love gusto kong bumalik sa intimate.’ He wants to be really intimate sa mga fans so nag-gig yan, mga bars. Doon siya na-inspire na kausap niya lang (yung fans), wala siya yung sense na ‘Okay kailangan niya magperform’, hindi.
“For me, not to be translated that onstage, ayun nga, sabi ko, ‘Love, let’s do Videoke Hits’, ayun nagustuhan niya. Game naman siya,” sey pa ni Liza.
