‘Becky & Badette’ nina Eugene, Pokwang ilalaban sa Italy sa Abril

DADALHIN sa Italy ang Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023 film entry na “Becky & Badette” na pinagbibidahan nina Eugene Domingo at Pokwang.
Ilalaban kasi ang comedy film sa Far East Film Festival (FEFF) na mangyayari ngayong Abril.
Ang exciting news, ibinandera mismo ng direktor ng pelikula na si Jun Robles Lana sa X (dating Twitter).
“This just in: BECKY & BADETTE will have its European Premiere at the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy!” caption niya kalakip ang screenshot ng naging headline ng Hollywood Reporter.
Wika pa ng direktor sa post, “Eugene and I are thrilled to present BECKY AND BADETTE in the competition section in Italy this April.”

74 films mula sa 11 countries ang ipapalabas sa FEFF –kabilang na riyan ang 47 na pelikula na magco-compete at 28 na hindi kasali sa kompetisyon.
Ang 26th edition ng nasabing film fest ay mula April 24 hanggang May 2 sa Udine, Italy.
Para sa mga hindi pa nakakanood, ang “Beck & Badette” ay umiikot sa high school best friends na biglang sumikat matapos gumawa ng istorya tungkol sa kanilang batchmate na bully.
Kung matatandaan noong Nobyembre, inanunsyo ng King of Talk na si Boy Abunda sa programang “Fast Talk” na ginagawa na ang sequel ng nasabing MMFF 2023 entry.
“This is serious. I have permission from the producers of Becky and Badette,” sey ni Tito Boy.
Ani pa niya, “Hindi pa po natin napapanood sa December 25, being part of the Metro Manila Film Festival, ginagawa na po ni Jun Lana ang sequel.”
Noong Disyembre nang magwagi ang comedy film ng “Best Original Song” at “Gender Sensitivity Award” sa MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.
Makalipas ang isang buwan nang maganap ang first-ever Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) sa Hollywood at nakuha diyan ng pelikula nina Pokwang at Eugene ang “Special Jury Prize.”
Maliban sa mga nabanggit, naiuwi din ng pelikula ang “Comedy Film of the Year” mula sa 2024 Platinum Stallion Media Awards.
