NAPAKARAMI pang nadiskubre sa isa’t isa ng Kapamilya phenomenal loveteam na sina Donny Pangilinan at Belle Mariano habang ginagawa nila ang kanilang latest series na “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
In fairness, talagang nag-level up na ang aktingan ng tambalang DonBelle at patutunayan nila yan sa pinakabago nilang project na “Can’t Buy Me Love” na mapapanood na sa Netflix sa October 13.
Magsisimula naman itong umere sa Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Jeepney TV, TFC, A2Z, at TV5 simula sa October 16.
Paglalarawan ni Donny sa kanyang leading lady, “For someone who’s been in the industry for a while since she was a kid, parang you’d expect na ‘yun na ‘yung atake niya, kasi she already knows the gist of the industry and stuff.
“But I think she’s grown so much in terms of her artistry and how she plays around with her emotions, the different takes she does.

“How she approaches life, work, and being professional, it’s very different from the day I met her in ‘He’s Into Her.’ Even the way that she prepares for projects is very different,” sabi pa ni Donny sa panayam ng ABS-CBN.
Dagdag pa ng binata, “I think she has so much pa that she can do even if she has already proven so much. It’s so nice that you know in every project, she will still show a different side of her. Like ‘wow,’ that’s all I can say.”
Para naman kay Belle, napakalaki na rin ng improvement sa akting ni Donny sa latest project nila, “Grabe! Talagang mapapa-clap ka sa ibinigay niya.”
“Who would have thought, you portraying this role? You can see how he really grew in his craft. I’m so proud of him,” aniya pa.
Sa “Can’t Buy Me Love,” gagampanan nila ang role nina Bingo at Caroline, na nagmula sa magkaibang mundo. Ibang-iba raw ito sa lahat ng nagawa nilang projects in the past.
“Bingo is a guy who grew up with… maybe not the best background. And he’s gone through a lot of things I haven’t gone through yet.
“I think it’s very exciting for us to go through these kinds of characters because it really opens up a new portal of how we interact with each other,” sey ng binata.
Kuwento naman ni Belle, kailangang pag-aralan niya ang lengguwahe at kultura ng mga Chinese para sa kanyang karakter.
Sa tanong kung ano ang gusto nilang maging takeaway ng viewers sa “Can’t Buy Me Love”, sagot ni Belle, “I want our show to make an impact sa audience, na you can really find true happiness within yourself and the people you surround yourself with.”
“Hopefully it can be remembered as one of the best shows that will come out of this collaboration,” sey naman ni Donny na ang tinutukoy ay ang collaboration ng ABS-CBN at Netflix. “Hopefully it can be a journey towards something more.”
