‘Barbie’ movie gumawa ng kasaysayan, humakot ng $1-B sa takilya

MATAPOS masangkot sa kontrobersiya sa ating bansa, gumawa ng kasaysayan ang live-action film na “Barbie.”
Nilagpasan na kasi nito ang billion-dollar mark sa box-office!
Tatlong linggo nang ipinapalabas sa mga sinehan worldwide ang pelikula at kumita na ito ng $1.0315 billion o mahigit P55.9 billion.
Dahil diyan, nagtala rin ng record ang direktor ng pelikula na si Greta Gerwig bilang kauna-unahang solo female director na kumita ng billion-dollar film.
Tuwang-tuwa naman siyempre ang Co-Chairs at CEOs ng Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group na sina Michael De Luca at Pam Abdy at lubos na pinuri ang lahat ng mga bumubuo sa naturang pelikula.

Ang kwento ng live-action film ay umiikot sa “women empowerment,” pati na rin sa mga pagsubok na pinagdaanan ni Barbie upang harapin ang bagong mundo na kanyang napuntahan, ang “Real World.”
Ang gumanap bilang iconic fashion doll ay walang iba kundi ang Oscar-nominee actress na si Margot Robbie, habang ang katambal niya riyan bilang “Ken” ay si Ryan Gosling.
