KAHIT tapos na ang Women’s Month, patuloy pa ring ibinabandera ng mga kababaihan ang kampanyang “women empowerment.”
Katulad na lamang ng Pinoy teen hip-hop sensation na si Alex Bruce na inihayag ang kanyang “self-wroth” at “womanhood” sa inilabas na bagong single na may titulong “Betty Bruce.”
Ayon sa singer-rapper, dahil sa bagong kanta ay natuklasan niya ang kanyang alter-ego na inspired sa cartoon character na si “Betty Boop.”
Para sa kaalaman ng marami, ang nasabing karakter ay sumikat noon pang 1930’s at ito ang itinuturing kauna-unahang “fully human, fully female animated character” ng Disney.
Kwento ni Alex, Maihahambing niya na may pagkakapareho sila ni Betty Boop.
Halimbawa na raw riyan ay ‘yung pagkakaroon ng strong personality, may sariling desisyon at walang pakialam sa mga sinasabi ng ibang tao.
“Inspired by the iconic character Betty Boop, I envisioned ‘Betty Bruce’ as a persona that embodies the sassier, classier side of my personality,” sey ng singer.

Chika pa niya, “While Alex Bruce is my given name, Betty Bruce represents the vibrant, confident, and larger-than-life aspects of who I am as an artist. I am most definitely aware I’m already pretty, classy, and sassy as Alex Bruce, but the girls that get it, get it.”
“Through ‘Betty Bruce,’ I wanted to explore a different dimension of my creativity, allowing this alter ego to take center stage,” saad niya.
Paliwanag pa niya, “The song celebrates self-expression and showcases the liberation I feel when embracing my alter ego. It’s a testament to the power of embracing different facets of our personalities and letting them shine.”
Para sa kaalaman ng marami, si Alex ay nag-debut noong 2018 sa ilalim ng management ng Sony Music Philippines.
Kasabay niyan ay inilabas niya ang kanyang kauna-unahang single na pinamagatang “Mind As a Weapon.”
