Alden Richards, Julia Montes at Irene Villamor
CONFIRMED! Magsasama nga sa isang pelikula ang Kapuso matinee idol na si Alden Richards at Kapamilya actress na si Julia Montes.
Magtatambal ang dalawa sa upcoming romantic-drama film “Five Break-Ups And A Romance” na siguradong aabangan nang bonggang-bongga ng kanilang mga fans.
This is written and to be directed by Irene Emma Villamor, na siya ring nasa likod ng mga pelikulang “Sid & Aya,” “Meet Me in St. Gallen,” On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets,” at “Ulan.”
Ayon kay Direk Irene, ang “Five Break-ups and a Romance” ay tungkol sa complications ng pakikipagrelasyon.
“My movies are about strangers meeting. Hindi natin nakikita yung relationship. Ngayon, nag-dwell ako sa relationship. Gaano ka-complicated? Gaano kahirap? Gaano ka sarap? Kaya siya five breakups. Try nating manakit ng limang beses,” pahayag ng direktor.
Sa nasabing pelikula, gaganap si Alden bilang si Lance Sandoval habang si Julia naman ang magbibigay-buhay sa karakter ni Justine.
“In this film, [we try to answer] how can you balance career and love. With love, we don’t know when and how to stop,” Julia sey ni Julia.

Sabi naman ni Alden, “Na-excite ako to be paired with Julia. Isa siya sa mga leading ladies so far, by far, na unang meeting pa lang, wala nang pretensions. Naramdaman mo na yung sincerity.”
“Two shooting days pa lang. I think this is a start of a really good friendship and working relationship with her,” aniya pa.
Sabi naman ni Julia nang makasama sa dalawang shooting days na ginawa nila, “Why Alden Richards is Alden Richards. Ngayon alam ko na. Nagulat ako, hindi na ko magkukunwari. I’m honored and happy to work with him.”
Direk Irene remarked that while the Julia-Alden tandem is an unconventional pairing, both are good actors who are committed to the craft and are very much willing to work with her and the whole production team to bring this story to life. So fans of both stars can expect that they will be giving it their all.
“We have done just one reading pa lang at sobrang dami na namin na-discuss about the concept so nakaka-excite makita paano nila bubuhayin yung mga characters sa script,” sabi ni Direk Irene.
“Five Break-Ups And A Romance” is a romantic-drama film that aims to elevate the traditional Filipino romance genre to a new and more mature level.
The film deals with the complexities of romance and relationships in the modern era. The gleaming skyscrapers of Singapore and Manila’s Bonifacio Global City will primarily serve as the backdrop of the modern love story.
CS Studios (under the leadership of Cornerstone Entertainment President Erickson Raymundo), will be partnering with GMA Pictures (under the direction of GMA Films President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and GMA First Vice President for Program Management Joey Abacan) and Myriad (Alden Richards’ production company) to produce the film.
Former Star Cinema Managing Director Malou N. Santos is also involved in the project as a consultant.
