Raymond Gutierrez sa pagiging ‘open’ sa lovelife: It’s really a new chapter for me, there’s a sense of freedom
“This is the first relationship that I think shared to the world and I think that’s what’s important about this one is it’s a really new chapter for me,” sey ni Raymond.
“This is the first time that I am willingly open – I mean, sharing it to the public and be open about it and be proud of it. You know, there’s a sense of freedom that I can now post videos, I can now post photos,” sambit pa niya.
Chika niya, “Before, I was afraid of doing that. Just afraid of being gay before, like, ten years ago, the society wasn’t so open, it wasn’t so supportive especially in the local showbiz industry, like, everybody would tell me, ‘you can’t be gay, it’s gonna be affecting your endorsements, it’s gonna affect your work,’ you know.”
“It took a while but I’m very grateful that I have the support system that I do have because I think that’s also very important. If you surround yourself with the right people, I think that’s why a lot of people are scared to come out because they think they don’t have the right support system,” ayon kay Mond.
Panawagan pa niya, “So to all the people you know, still not comfy or still not sharing it with their friends and family, take your time but I assure you that you will find your group, you will find your support system so it’s so much more fun and so much more freedom to come out on the other side.”
