LA Tenorio personal na nag-alay ng dasal sa Our Lady of Antipolo para sa paggaling ng kanyang stage 3 colon cancer

PERSONAL na nagtungo ang professional basketball player na si LA Tenorio sa simbahan ng Our Lady of Antipolo kamakailan para personal na mag-alay ng kanyang panalangin.
Bumisita ang PBA star sa nasabing simbahan pagkatapos ng laban ng kanyang team na Barangay Ginebra kontra San Miguel Beer na ginanap sa Ynares Center sa Antipolo City.
Last week, ibinahagi ng sikat na cager sa publiko ang tungkol sa tunay na kundisyon ng kanyang kalusugan. Aniya, na-diagnose siya ng stage 3 colon cancer.
Sa The Antipolo Cathedral Facebook page, makikita ang ilang litrato ni LA Tenorio na kilala rin sa tawag na “Iron Man” habang nananalangin sa imahen ni Virgin Mary.
Ayon sa FB post, humiling ng basbas ang PBA player mula sa isang pari roon at nanalangin para sa kanyang paggaling at tuluyan na ngang mawala ang sakit na colon cancer.
“He pleaded for prayers for steadfast recovery. He has been a devotee of Our Lady of Antipolo since he was a young child,” ang nakalagay sa caption ng naturang FB post.
Patuloy naman ang pagbuhos sa social media ng mga positibo at inspiring message para kay LA Tenorio.
Nakikisimpatya at nangakong ipagdarasal siya ng kanyang mga kasamahan at kaibigan sa basketball community upang mapagtagumpayan ang kanyang laban sa Big C.
Ayon sa Barangay Ginebra veteran na tinaguriang “Iron Man” ng PBA, “I was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer.

“The initial testing three weeks ago led me to instantly miss practices and games. I have completed my surgery last week and will soon undergo treatment for the next few months.”

“I have given not only 17 full years to the PBA, but have dedicated my whole life to basketball. I have committed my body and health for the love of the game. It has been my passion and love.
“Sadly, there are things beyond one’s control. But with my FAITH, I am lifting everything to God now and I believe there is a higher purpose as I go through this part of my life,” pahayag ni LA sa isang official statement.
“I am not yet retiring from the game I love, and with the help of the best doctors in the Philippines and Singapore, I BELIEVE i can touch a basketball once more and return stronger,” dagdag pa niya.
Isa sa mga nagbigay ng mensahe at nagpalakas ng loob kay LA ay si retired PBA cager at former Gilas Pilipinas player na si Marc Pingris.
Nag-post siya ng litrato nila ni LA sa Instagram na may caption na, “Dasal lang tol kaya yan! Ikaw pa lakas mo na tao kaya ka nga #ironman eh dito lang kami tol madami nag mamahal sayo at nag dadasal!! See you soon sa laro ng pba! #NSD #IRONMAN #L.A @la_tenorio God bless you bro!”
