Pangasinan iwas-bird flu, bawal muna ang pagpasok ng poultry products

PANSAMANTALANG pinagbawalan sa Pangasinan ang pagpasok ng mga “poultry products” mula sa 17 na mga probinsya.

Kabilang na riyan ang ang lahat ng ng itik, pugo, inahing manok, mga itlog, kalapati, at marami pang iba.

Nagsimula ang temporary poultry ban noong February 2 at tatagal nang hanggang March 2.

Ayon sa inilabas na Executive Order ni Governor Ramon Guico, ito ay para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng Avian Influenza o Bird Flu sa kanilang lugar.

“Pangasinan has no reported cases of Avian Influenza Subtype H5N1, however, there is a need to implement a temporary total ban on the entry of on the entry of all ducks, quails, spent hens (culled), hatching eggs, pigeons, gamefowls, RTL, and restriction on the movement of other poultry birds and by-products, strengthen regulatory services, border control, and intensify quarantine activities to maintain its present status,” sey ni Gov. Guico.

Kabilang sa mga probinsya na bawal magpasok ng poultry products ay ang Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Laguna, Sultan Kudarat, Benguet, North at South Cotabato, Maguindanao, Isabela, Rizal, Quezon, Kalinga, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, at Ilocos Sur.

Ang mga lalabag sa kautusan ay mapapabilang sa kanilang “blacklist.”

“Violators of this Order will be tagged as blacklist and will no longer be allowed to transact on livestock business and poultry shipment in the province,” saad sa inilabas na EO.

Samantala, ang mga probinsya naman na hindi kasama sa ban ay dadaan pa rin sa mahigpit na Animal Quarantine Checkpoints.

Lahad pa sa kautusan, “will strengthen regulatory services, border control on the intra and inter provincial movement of animals and intensify quarantine activities within the Province of Pangasinan.”

Matatandaan noong October 26 hanggang  December 31 nang huling nagpatupad ng poultry ban ang Pangasinan.
