Dolly de Leon inisnab sa Oscars 2023, pero ‘Triangle of Sadness’ lalaban sa pagka-Best Picture

BIGONG makapasok ang award-winning Filipino actress na si Dolly de Leon sa listahan ng mga nominadong Best Supporting Actress sa Oscars 2023.

Marami ang umasa na mapapabilang si Dolly sa mga nominees sa nasabing kategorya para sa natatangi niyang pagganap sa pelikulang “Triangle of Sadness” na nagbigay din sa kanya ng nominasyon sa Golden Globes at BAFTA.

Ngunit hindi nga napili ang aktres na gumanap bilang Abigail sa nasabing pelikula na nanalo naman ng Cannes 2022 Palme d’Or.

Ang mga napiling nominado sa Best Supporting Actress category ng Oscars 2023 ay sina Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Hong Chau (The Whale), Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All At Once), at Stephenie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once).

“Everything Everywhere All At Once” ang humamig ng pinakamaraming nominasyon (11), kabilang na ang Best Picture, Best Director (Daniel Kwan at Daniel Scheinert), Best Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), at dalawa ngang Best Supporting Actress.

Ang iba pang nominees sa Best Picture category ay ang “All Quiet on the Western Front”, “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Elvis”, “The Fabelmans”, “TÁR”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, “Triangle of Sadness”, at “Women Talking.”

Makakalaban naman ni Michelle Yeoh sa pagka-Best Actress sina Cate Blanchett para sa TÁR, Ana de Armas para sa Blonde, Andrea Riseborough para sa To Leslie, at Michelle Williams para sa The Fabelmans.

Ang mga maglalaban para sa Best Actor ay sina Austin Butler (Elvis), Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Brendan Fraser (The Whale), Paul Mescal (Aftersun), at Bill Nighy (Living).
