Album posters ni Demi Lovato ‘offensive’ umano sa mga Kristiyano, pina-’ban’ sa UK

USAP-USAPAN sa social media ang bumabalot na kontrobersiya sa latest album ng American singer na si Demi Lovato.
Recently lamang kasi ay ipinagbawal sa bansang United Kingdom ang album posters nito.
Ang tinutukoy na album ay ‘yung may titulong “Holy Fvck” na ni-release noong Agosto ng nakaraang taon.
Ayon sa ulat ng British media company na BBC, marami na ang nagrereklamong “offensive” para sa mga Kristiyano ang mismong pamagat ng album, pati na rin ang mga nakapaskil na cover photo nito.
“The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said it had received complaints relating to the ‘image of Ms. Lovato bound up in a bondage-style outfit whilst lying on a mattress shaped like a crucifix,” saad sa ulat.
Patuloy pa ng BBC, “The singer was ‘in a position with her legs bound to one side which was reminiscent of Christ on the cross’ … Together with the album title, which is a play on a swear word, the ASA found the poster was ‘likely to be viewed as linking sexuality to the sacred symbol of the crucifix and the crucifixion’. This was likely to cause serious offense to Christians.”

As of this writing ay wala pang pahayag si Demi tungkol sa isyu.
Hindi ito ang unang beses na may inireklamo ang Christian organisations sa UK.
Matatandaang naging kontrobersyal din ang “Like a Prayer” video ni Madonna na inilabas noong 1989 na kung saan ay makikitang sumasayaw ang singer sa paligid ng nasusunog na mga krus at humahalik sa isang itim na mala-Kristong pigura sa isang simbahan.
Dahil diyan ay hindi lang ito nakondena ng iba’t-ibang religious groups, na-ban pa ito sa Vatican City.
