“NAPAKAHIRAP at napakasakit!” Yan ang naramdaman ng Kapuso actress at fashion icon na si Heart Evangelista nang sumailalim sa in-vitro-fertilization (IVF) treatment.

Nagbahagi ang 37-anyos na aktres ng ilang detalye hinggil sa pinagdaanang IVF treatment ilang taon na ngayon ang nakararaan.

Sa September issue ng L’Officiel Philippines, inilarawan ni Heart ang kanyang karanasan bilang “one of the toughest, challenging times of my life.”

“With IVF, they inject you with fertility hormones. It was very difficult and painful. I had three injections a day over a two-week process.

“After harvesting and the processes that came after, they were able to gather the perfect boy and the perfect girl,” paglalahad ng Kapuso star.

Ngunit sa kasamaang-palad, nakunan nga ang aktres noong 2018, na tinawag niyang “worst day of my life.” Kasunod nito, maraming realizations si Heart kasabay ng tanong sa sarili kung bakit nape-pressure siyang magka-baby.

“Am I ready for a child? I actually have a baby boy and a baby girl waiting for me, but I’m really at this stage in my life where (I ask myself), ‘Do I want a child because I want a child?’ or ‘Do I want a child because the environment or culture dictates that I should have a child?’” aniya pa.

Pinayuhan naman ni Heart ang lahat ng kababaihan na subukan din ang IVF, “Any time they decide on having a child, the embryo is there.

“Whether you decide immediately or five years from now, there is no deadline. Also, the process is available in the Philippines and not just abroad,” aniya pa.

Sa nasabing panayam, pinasalamatan din ni Heart ang asawang si Sen. Chiz Escudero, “Chiz is a really good guy though we’re very different because he’s very conservative and I’m also a little bit more modern.

“Perhaps it’s because of our age gap. But what I like about him is he tries. He tries to be as supportive as he can be,” sabi ng aktres.

Positibong pananaw pa ni Heart, “If everything turns out to be great, which I’m sure it will, it may not make sense at this point—it’s still going to be a life well lived, I feel. Everything will fall into place.”

Samantala, feel na feel ng aktres ang pagiging independent kung saan nagagawa niya kung ano ang nais niyang gawin sa kanyang katawan, “I feel that this alone is changing me as a person. I’m standing up for myself.

“It’s liberating to decide according to what I want and not what other people want. That has changed me dramatically,” sabi pa niya.

Matatandaang sa isa niyang vlog, nagkuwento rin si Heart tungkol sa pagkawala ng kambal nila nila Chiz,  “Having a miscarriage is the most traumatizing feeling. I carried my twins 4 months after because my doctor wanted me to naturally go through the process.

“It was the most horrible feeling thinking maybe God can bring them back to me … or me thinking am I not a good person for this to happen.

“Having babies is for sure a blessing or just actually being able to feel that you can love someone even if you haven’t met them. I had a stroller, a baby room, and a name. My babies already had a life prepared for them,” pagbabahagi pa ni Heart.

Nasa Europe ngayon ang fashion icon at binabalak ngang bumili ng apartment in Paris. Ito’y sa gitna nga ng mga chika na naghiwalay na umano sila ni Chiz.

Hanggang ngayon ay wala pang official statement ang celebrity couple tungkol sa tunay na estado ng kanilang married life.
