PARA kay reigning Miss Philippines Earth Jenny Ramp, isa sa pinakamahalagang bagay para sa isang tao ang pag-aalaga sa sarili, o “self-care” na sinang-ayunan ng mga kapwa niya beauty titleholders.

“It may be a really hard journey, but once you get used to it, once you start having the self respect and the self love for yourself, it gets easier every day,” sinabi ni Ramp sa Inquirer sa pagbubukas ng The Pretty You Prime sa Mandaluyong City noong Set. 6.

Ngunit para kay reigning Miss Continentes Unidos Camelle Mercado, maaari pa rin itong makamit sa pamamagitan ng tila mga payak na bagay. “Maybe it’s just like going out to take a breather, or like reading a book to refresh your mind. It’s just as simple as that. For me, that’s self-care,” aniya.

Para naman kay Beatrice Santos, na hinirang na 2019 Miss Makati sa gulang na 18 taon, “self-care is being confident of yourself, of your skin, on how you live, and then being positive towards others, and then especially yourself.”

Sinabi naman ni 2021 Miss International Queen Philippines Patricia Payumo na isang paraan ng self-care ang paglalaan ng oras sa sarili. “It is the most important gift that you can give to yourself if you can spend some time for yourself, to nourish what you have, and to make everything more meaningful,” aniya.

Dapat ding alagaan ng mga lalaki ang kanilang sarili, ayon kay reigning Mister Universal World Philippines Hanz Sandoval. “It is how you love yourself, what you do for yourself to be confident, and to express your inner beauty to the public,” ibinahagi niya.

At para sa haring Pilipino, makahihikayat siya ng iba na alagaan ang sarili sa tulong ng social media, “by posting my different techniques and routine every day on how I take care of myself.”

“It’s so important for everyone to learn what is their own self-care routine, whether it’s skincare or pamper days, especially at clinics, it will definitely help their self esteem,” ani Ramp.

Si Sandoval ang kakatawan sa Pilipinas sa 2022 Mister Universal World contest sa Dubai sa United Arab Emirates sa Oktubre, habang lalaban naman si Ramp sa 2022 Miss Earth pageant na idaraos sa Pilipinas sa Nobyembre.
