Khalil sa bagong serye nila ni Gabbi: It’s quite ambitious…mapapatawa ka, matatakot ka, mai-in love ka

MAINIT ang naging pagtanggap ng mga manonood sa pilot episode ng “Love You Stranger” ng reel and real life lovers na sina Khalil Ramos at Gabbi Garcia.
Nagsimula na kagabi ang unang primetime series ng GMA Public Affairs at in fairness, unang araw pa lang ng programa ay may pasabog na agad ito para sa Kapuso viewers.
Siguradong super happy ang buong production sa naging resulta ng una nilang episode sa ratings game, lalo na ang celebrity couple na sina Khalil at Gabbi.
Sa virtual mediacon ng “Love You Stranger” kamakailan, ibinandera ng tambalang Gabbi-Khalil kung gaano sila ka-proud sa kanilang bagong project together.
“We’re so happy kasi ang ganda ng project. When I first read the script, I said it’s quite ambitious, kasi mapapatawa ka, matatakot ka, mai-in love ka.
“It’s beautifully written, detailed ang pagkasulat sa characters at sa kababalaghang nangyayari sa story that helps push the narrative forward.
“And our director, King Mark Baco, succeeded in realizing the script well on screen,” pahayag ni Khalil.

Dito nga niya nabanggit na natupad din sa serye ang isa sa mga matagal na niyang pangarap, ang maging film director.
“It’s no secret that I really plan to direct movies someday. So dito, kahit paano, nabigyan ako ng chance na maging legit film director.
“May scenes dito showing na nagdidirek talaga ako ng mga eksena kaya nakakatuwa kasi nakapagpanggap po ako,” pahayag ng binata.
Aniya pa, talagang pinaghahandaan na niya ang kanyang directorial career, “I put up a small production house with some friends and we do music videos, ads, corporate AVPs.
“I also want to learn how to write my own scripts so I took Ricky Lee’s writing workshop. Ka-batch ko si Iza Calzado, kaso hindi kami natapos dahil biglang nagka-pandemic,” kuwento ng singer-actor.
Samantala, natanong din si Khalil kung kumusta ang dynamics nila ng kanyang girlfriend na si Gabbi sa una nilang primetime series sa GMA.
“It helps that we’re so comfortable na with each other kaya sabay kami in analyzing the characters we play.
“Our characters in the show are so different from the real us. I go to our town of Santa Castela to do a movie as a director.
“I meet Gabbi again as LJ, the production designer. It turns out magkababata pala kami and naglalaro kami as kids.
“Pero may tension yung characters namin, so kailangan makita ng viewers yung tension na yun between us,” paliwanag ng binata.
Kuwento pa niya, “Well, kami on the set, never kami nag-away during the whole lock in taping. We just love the characters we’re playing.
“We have a happy set and mahal na mahal namin ang lahat ng co-actors namin. Lagi kaming magkakasama, so we’re like a family,” aniya pa.
Ano naman ang masasabi ni Gabbi sa planong pagdidirek ni Khalil, “Ever since, mataas na ang admiration ko sa kanya as an artist, not only as an actor and singer but also as a director.
“He does everything with a passion. He even directed a music video I did, so I just encourage him to pursue his dream kasi yun talaga ang nasa puso niya,” sey ni Gabbi.
