Sharon ibinandera ang pagiging proud nanay sa Hollywood movie ni KC: Show the world what you’ve got!

SUPER proud nanay si Megastar Sharon Cuneta sa panganay niyang anak na si KC Concepcion matapos bumandera ang pagiging lead star nito sa isang Hollywood movie.
Talagang ipinagmalaki ng OPM at movie icon ang pagkakapili sa panganay niyang anak kay Gabby Concepcion para bumida sa international film na “Asian Persuasion.”
Sa kanyang Instagram account, ni-repost ni Mega ang isang video na naglalaman ng old photos and clips ni KC kalakip ang mensahe niya para sa anak.
“My eldest @kristinaconcepcion now doing an all-Asian, mostly Pinoy Hollywood movie. Tina, I am proud of you! Show the world what you’ve got!” pahayag ni Sharon.
Matatandaang ibinandera ni KC ang tungkol sa gagawin niyang Hollywood movie nito lamang nagdaang Abril at kinumpirma ngang siya ang nagiging lead actress sa nasabing romantic-comedy film sa direksyon ng broadway producer-turned-film director na si Jhett Tolentino
“Thank you for joining us on this new journey. Grateful to be part of this Asian-American project, with our amazing cast and crew,” ang caption ni KC sa ipinost na news item tungkol sa pelikula.

Sabi naman niya sa isang panayam, “I’m very happy na nung binasa ko pa lang yung script, na feel ko agad na this is for me. It was the perfect role for a romantic-comedy na matagal ko nang gustong gawin. It was so perfect and to come back with this project, nakaka-proud.”
Samantala, ipinaliwanag naman ni Direk Jhett kung bakit hindi natuloy si Toni Gonzaga sa project na siyang first choice para sa role ni KC. Aniya, wala raw itong kinalaman sa political affiliation ng TV host-actress.
“Okay, I just want to make this straight. Toni Gonzaga was my first choice. Right. And then two weeks before our pre-production, so mid-February. I got an email from her management saying that she has a conflict in the schedule,” sabi ng direktor.
“Yung sa akin lang, once you commit tapusin, and then so yun, I started the petition. I paid for her work visa. Nagbayad na kami, and then yun, they gave a notice na hindi siya…conflict of schedule.
“And ako naman, yeah, I have to admit I panicked a little kasi siyempre two weeks before ng pre-prod wala ‘di ba, So kaya ko tinawagan si Sharon, sabi ko, ‘Nasaan ang anak mo?’” paliwanag pa ni Jhett.
Makakasama ni KC sa “Asian Persuasion” sina Dante Basco, Paolo Montalban, Scarlett Sher, Kevin Kreider, Celia Au, Geneva Carr, at Jax Bacani.
Ka-join din dito sina Apl.de.Ap ng Black Eyed Peas, Yam Concepcion, Rachel Alejandro, Tony Labrusca, Janice Sonia Lee, Ami Sheth, Fe delos Reyes, Rex Navarrette, Joyce Keokham, Imani Hanson, at Devin Ilaw.
