Liza Dino 3 taon pang magsisilbi sa FDCP; ‘PH Movie Confidential’ ni Nestor Cuartero maraming pasabog

NAGPIYESTA ang mga taga-showbiz, kabilang na ang mga miyembro ng entertainment media nang lumabas ang balitang na-extend pa ng tatlong taon ang termino ni Liza Diño-Seguerra bilang chairperson ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
In fairness naman kasi kay Chair Liza talagang ginagawa niya ang lahat ng makakaya niya para matulungan ang lahat ng sektor ng industriya ng showbiz — mula sa mga artista, producer at filmmaker hanggang sa production staff.
Isa nga ito sa naging hot topic sa ginanap na launching ng librong “PH Movie Confidential” na isinulat ng Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) adviser at veteran entertainment editor at columnist na si Nestor Cuartero.
Naganap ito sa Cinematheque Centre Manila last Tuesday at in-organize ng FDCP katuwang ang SPEEd.
Ang “PH Movie Confidential” na ipinablish ng Ultimate Learning Series ni senatorial aspirant Dr. Carl Balita kasama ang FDCP, ay naglalaman ng mga insight, informative at entertaining anecdote na naipon ni Tito Nes bilang entertainment editor-writer sa loob ng anim na dekada.
Nilinaw naman ni Chair Liza na maaari pang i-contest ng susunod na administrasyon ang kanyang term extension dahil co-terminus ng termino ng Pangulo ang appointive position ng FDCP chief.
Ani Chair Liza, “If I will be given the chance to continue, I would love to continue. Only because I believe that there is much to be done.
“Iba rin ’yung fulfillment na nabigay sa akin ng pagiging head ng FDCP. So, I would love to stay. Pero kung anuman, whether I stay o talagang this is the end of my term, I will accept it wholeheartedly,” sabi ng asawa ni Ice Seguerra.

Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “Siyempre happy ako. Ang sarap ng feeling na parang na-appreciate ‘yung ginagawa mo. And it’s not just me kasi collective effort ito lalo na sa team namin na ‘yung commitment nandoon, ‘yung passion nandoon.”
Samantala, bukod kay Chair Liza, present din sa book launching ni Tito Nestor Cuartero ang ilang opisyal ng SPEEd at malalapit na kaibigan sa industriya tulad nina Boots Anson-Rodrigo ng Mowelfund, Priscilla Almeda at Jomari Yllana, Sheryl Cruz, Kane Choa ng ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, Unilab team nina Claire de Leon- Papa, Cecile Roxas, Rex Dayao at Dina Visda, Wilson Flores at marami pang iba.
May video greetings naman para sa kanya sina Charo Santos-Concio, Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto, Piolo Pascual at Dr. Carl Balita.
Narito naman ang bahagi ng mensahe ni Tito Nestor sa naganap na book launch, “At the launch last Tuesday, I was, needless to say, in my element upon seeing the arrival of guests, actors, writers, colleagues, and personal friends.
“Among them, Boots Anson Roa Rodrigo, Sheryl Cruz, Priscilla Almeda, Jomari Yllana, Anthony Castelo, Cesar Montano.
“The support provided by Chair Liza Dino-Seguerra, her deputy, David Fabros, and the FDCP team, was just overwhelming.
“I was almost intoxicated, though I hadn’t had a drop of alcohol, just a cup of baraco coffee. Yet, when it was my turn to speak, I suddenly turned loose and comedic, which totally surprised me even as it amused and entertained the audience that had gathered that afternoon. I didn’t realize I had that comedy channel in me.
“The lines just kept percolating in my head as I told my audience stories tangential to the 15 chapters in the book.”
