LUMIPAD na patungong Puerto Rico si Tracy Maureen Perez bilang official candidate para sa grand coronation ng 70th edition ng Miss World Philippines.
Inaasahan at ipinagdarasal ng sambayanang Filipino na sana’y maiuwi na ng dalaga ang second Miss World title ng Pilipinas, kasunod ni Megan Young.
Kahapon, ibinandera na ng Miss World Philippines organization ang pag-alis ni Tracy para sa pagrampa nito sa nasabing international pageant.
Bukod kay Tracy, kabilang din sa umalis ng bansa ang mga Pinay beautt queen na sina Kathleen Paton at Michelle Arceo para makipag-compete sa dalawa lang international pageants ngayong March at April.
“Let us show the world how our queens are truly and exceptionally empowered Filipinas,” ang pahayag ni MWP Vice President Ryan Calmante.
Dagdag pa niya, “Please remember that as you fly to Egypt, Puerto Rico, and India, you will not be addressed by your names but rather, you will be called by your title and more importantly as Ms. Philippines.”

Nauna rito, naglabas ng bagong article si Tracy tungkol sa kanyang life story sa Miss World website na may titulong “Who is Tracy — a miracle or a warrior?”
Dito ibinahagi ng dalaga ang kanyang pagiging “miracle baby”, ang pagpapalaki sa kanya nang mag-isa ng kanyang nanay at ang pambu-bully na naranasan mula sa mga kaklase noong nag-aaral pa.
“I still don’t understand to this day why it was such a big fuss back then, but some of my classmates would always make fun of me and call me names,” pag-alala ng dalaga.
“I thought I would never survive. And thus, the new chapter of my life began — the constant fight for survival, for belongingness, for happiness, for purpose, for fulfillment, and for a better life.
“Fast forward to 2022, I am still fighting, but this time, I am no longer alone.
“I now carry with me the hopes and dreams of the once 17-year old who lost everything along with the hopes and dreams of every single person who just like me, had hit rock bottom and is constantly working her way back up,” dagdag na chika pa ng Pinay beauty queen.
Ang target ngayon ni Tracy sa pagbabalik sa Puerto Rico ay ang makapwesto sa Miss World Digital Media Challenge, para makadiretso na agad siya Top 12.
Ang 70th Miss World ay magaganap sa Puerto Rico sa darating na March 12, ito’y matapos ma-postpone nang ilang beses ang pageant dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Si Kathleen Paton naman ay lalaban sa Miss Eco International na gaganapin naman sa Egypt sa March 17 (Manila time) habang si Michelle Arceo naman ay rarampa sa Miss Environment International na gaganapin sa India sa March 21 hanggang April 2.
