Julius Babao at Karen Davila
MAKALIPAS ang tatlong dekada bilang Kapamilya, magpapaalam na rin ang veteran broadcast journalist na si Julius Babao sa ABS-CBN.
Mismong ang kanyang co-anchor sa news program na “Bandila” na si Karen Davila ang nagkumpirma ng kanyang pamamaalam sa Kapamilya network.
Sa kanyang Instagram, nag-post ng mensahe si Karen ngayong araw, Dec. 29, kung saan ibinalita nga nito ang naging desisyon ng kanyang katrabaho at kaibigan.
Aniya, huling linggo na ngayon ni Julius sa ABS-CBN, “FULL CIRCLE Of my 20 years in ABSCBN, @juliusbabao has been my co-anchor the longest. He is not just a colleague but a friend.
“We first partnered in TVPatrol World from 2004-2010 with Ted Failon & then Bandila in 2010-2019 with Ces Drilon.
“So you can imagine, I’m feeling nostalgic anchoring with Julius on his last week with ABSCBN,” ang bahagi ng caption ni Karen.

Ngunit sa kabila nito, umaasa pa rin siyang magkikita at magkakasama dahil maliit lang ang industriyang ginagalawan nila.
“The great Freddie Garcia once told me, ‘Karen, in television, change is the only thing that’s permanent’.
“We aren’t here forever but with the years given us, we give it our ALL.
“Kapamilyas come and go but our hearts remain bonded for life. I pray and believe for better times ahead for ABSCBN.
“We are strong. Bilog ang mundo at alam ko, magkikita tayong muli. Wishing you well Julius!

Nagkomento naman si Julius sa post ni Karen, “Great to see you again Karen!
“We will still see each other soon over coffee, lunch and dinners… im just a stone’s throw away from you!” mensahe pa ng asawa ni Christine Bersola-Babao.
Ang chika, baka raw sa TV5 lilipat si Julius para sa news program ng “Frontline Pilipinas” kapalit ni Raffy Tulfo na tatakbong senador sa May, 2022 elections.
Taong 1993 nag-start si Julius sa news department ng ABS-CBN bilang reporter ng “TV Patrol.”
