“Ali’s from a showbiz family and I was a star in my day, something like that.

Natatawa niyang pagkontra sa kanyang role, “I wouldn’t do that to my son! So I was having difficulty, parang ano ba ‘yan, ‘di ko pahihiyain ‘yung anak ko nang ganyan.”

“In a way, when you’re presenting, there’s a bit of projection that you have to do. Not acting, but projecting. So I think that helped also,” pahayag ni Ces.

“Because of the situation, we are in the pandemic and all and I got retrenched from ABS-CBN, I thought it’s the time of experimentation.

“Why not do something you haven’t done before? I’ve actually appeared in some movies before, but always as a journalist, as an interviewer. So this was really new,” lahad pa ng broadcast journalist.

Samantala, bukod sa acting, pinasok din ni Ces ang pagnenegosyo, “I think what happened after I was retrenched from ABS-CBN was I pursued my other interests. I took courses in natural perfumery, soap making, balm making, and scent making.

“In pivoting, I think I was successful in exploring other parts of me that I never would have had the pandemic not happened and forced me in that situation, where I had to look for other means of earning income and fulfilling yourself.”

“Now, I feel so energetic. I didn’t realize that at my age I’d be so inspired and full of ideas. Twenty-four hours of a day are not enough, I feel,” pagbabahagi pa ng news anchor.
