Yorme gagaya sa style ng Korea para palakasin ang showbiz industry; inspirasyon ang BTS, Blackpink

PLANONG gayahin ni presidential aspirant Manila Mayor Isko Moreno ang ginawang paraan at bonggang istilo ng South Korean government para makilala sa buong mundo ang K-drama at K-pop.

Ayon kay Yorme, sakaling mahalal siya bilang pangulo sa 2022 talagang mag-i-invest siya para sa entertainment industry ng Pilipinas at makagawa ng sarili nating version ng “hallyu” na magmamarka sa buong universe.

“If we can go on the same path where the Korean government spent so much money to develop their movie industry, I think we can do the same. It took them 20 years to introduce Korean culture through visual arts to the world, we can do it as well,” ang pahayag ng alkalde sa ginanap na presscon ng kanyang biopic na “Yorme: The Isko Domagoso Story” nitong nagdaang Nov. 26.

Naniniwala raw siya na pwede ring magkaroon ng BTS at Blackpink ang Pilipinas na maaari ring makapag-boost sa economic growth ng bansa.

“Imagine how Korean culture is now ingrained globally. All because of their entertainment industry that is also contributing substantially to their economy.

“So just imagine if we can do the same for our talents and artists. They can surely conquer the world… the entertainment world. Imagine how it can help our economy grow. If BTS can do it, hopefully someday, somehow, we can do it also,” ang punto pa ng isa sa mga tatakbong presidente sa 2022 elections.

Paliwanag pa ng alkalde, “So, all we need to do as government is to really invest. Ang ganda, ganda ng CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines). Ang ganda ng mga talents natin. Gwapo ang mga artista natin at talented silang lahat. In fact, we keep on winning in terms of talent.”

Nabanggit pa ni Isko ang mga Filipino artists na kinikilala na ngayon sa buong mundo, tulad nina Lea Salonga at John Arcilla.

“May K-Pop ba tayo? Pwede na ‘yung P-Pop, kahit anong pop basta Pilipino pop, ‘yun ang importante. Let’s introduce that to the world and it can be done. It’s a matter of giving attention, value, premium, and time,” diin pa niya.

Aniya, hindi niya maaaring pabayaan ang entertainment industry dahil malaki raw ang naitulong nito para marating niya ang estadong kinalalagyan niya ngayon.

“This industry gave me the big push that opened up many opportunities in my life and if given the chance, this will be my way of giving back and thanking this industry,” sabi pa ni Mayor Isko.

Showing na ang “Yorme” sa Dec. 1 sa mga sinehan na pinagbibidahan nina Xian Lim, McCoy de Leon at Raikko Mateo, sa panulat at direksyon ni Joven Tan.

Ito ay isang musical film na tatalakay sa naging buhay ni Mayor Isko mula noong bata siya hanggang sa maging hinahangaan at respetadong public servant.
