MAS lalong ginanahan at na-inspire ang dating beauty queen na si Cindy Miranda sa paggawa ng pelikula nang dahil kay 2020 Miss Universe-Philippines na si Rabiya Mateo.
Naikuwento ng dalaga sa ginanap na mediacon para sa bago niyang Vivamax movie na “My Husband, My Lover”, na nagkapalitan sila ng text message ni Rabiya kamakailan.
Na-touch daw siya sa mga magagandang salita na ibinahagi ng dalaga patungkol sa kanyang pag-aartista, lalo na sunud-sunod na pelikulang ginagawa niya.
“Our Miss Universe Rabiya she actually messaged me. I think she wanted to become an actress talaga. May nagsabi din sa akin na reporter na she wanted to become an actress.
“And then she just messaged me na sobrang tuwang-tuwa raw siya sa akin. Nakaka-inspire daw ako kasi nakikita niya na yung mga posts ko. And I think she wanted to become an actress.
“Sabi ko nga sa kanya I wanted to meet her soon kasi never pa kami nag-meet in person. Natutuwa ako pina-follow niya ako, tinitingnan niya yung mga stories ko and she’s so inspired.
“Sana makatrabaho ko siya soon kasi I think puwede siya maging actress di ba, why not? Lahat naman, eh,” tuluy-tuloy na pahayag ni Cindy na ngayon sa pinakamabentang sexy actress ng Viva Artists Agency.
Nagbigay din ang former Miss Tourism Philippines ng advice sa lahat ng mga beauty queen na nangangarap ding makapasok sa mundo ng showbiz.
Aniya, “Kung anong gusto mo, gawin mo. Huwag mong i-limit yung sarili mo just because you’re a beauty queen. Nahirapan din ako dun at first na dun ka lang nila nakikita.
“As a beauty queen, mahinhin, hanggang dito ka lang, maganda, kontrabida, whatever. But you know sabi ko nga yung pagkatao ko yung rules talaga gusto kong bini-break, ganyan. I wanted to do this.
“Bakit hindi ko yun kayang gawin? I was able to become a beauty queen. Why not become an actress? What’s the difference? Naging beauty queen ka, you can become an actress as well.
“And yung training namin to become a beauty queen it’s discipline, how you carry yourself. May pagkakaiba pero it’s the same thing. Discipline yan sa sarili, sa pagiging aktres, kung paano mo gusto ipakita yung sarili mo,” lahad ni Cindy.
At para naman sa lahat ng kumokontra sa kanyang pagpapa-sexy at paghuhubad sa pelikula, ito lang ang masasabi ng dalaga, “Ito yung ginagawa namin, we’re actors. Hindi si Cindy ito. Bahala na sila if they want to judge us in this movie but we’re just playing the characters.
“At least napaniwala namin sila sa character na ginagampanan namin. Mahirap gumawa ng isang bagay na hindi ikaw. But for me talaga as an actor, when I play yung character ko hindi ako beauty queen, hindi ako si Cindy. I need to forget about it.
“I just need to focus sa character ko. And pagdating ko sa set, ako na yung character ko. Hindi na ako si Cindy. So sana tanggapin nila yung transformation namin from beauty queen to being an actress.
“Thank you kasi they’re concerned about us dahil sa image namin. But we need to remind them that this is the characters that we play,” sey pa ng lead star ng “My Husband, My Lover” na idinirek ni Mac Alejandre. Kasama rin dito sina Kylie Verzosa, Marco Gumabao at Adrian Alandy.

Pahabol pang depensa ni Cindy, “We want to become serious actresses, not just a sexy actress. So we’re really trying hard to show na hindi lang yun yung kaya namin ipakita, not just the body.
“We want to prove to them that we can really act, we’re serious actresses, we can be dramatic actresses. I’ve done movies na wala ng sexy scenes and I hope tangkilikin pa rin ng mga tao kahit wala kaming ipakita sa movie na sexy scenes na nakita nila sa ibang movies namin.
“Kasi we’re doing this because we’re actresses. Para sa character yun. Not because yun yung gusto namin talaga. We’re working on our roles sa acting namin para seryosohin kami ng tao as actresses, na hindi nila kami ilagay dun sa ‘she’s a sexy actress. She’s just showing her body,’” diin pa niya.
