Pero more than… whether it’s going to be number 1 or it’s going to be number 2, who’s going to be watched, ‘no?

“It is the industry that I’m after.

“So, if this will be the first, I’m honored to open the opportunity for local producers to take the risk, and venture into it again.

“And that will generate jobs and opportunity to my fellow showbiz… alam naman natin, maraming nawalan ng trabaho sa showbiz, yung mga artista.

“So, while it’s true na malakas yung mga Marvel, pero I think, it’s high time, sa ating mga kababayan na suportahan natin yung atin, ‘no?

“Hindi dahil yung Yorme, kundi dahil yung industriya itself, the Philippine movie industry. Yun yung susuportahan natin.

“Parang sa amin, sa Maynila, kung makikita ninyo, katulad ngayon sa Mehan Garden, yung tinatawag namin, it’s been three years now, ‘no? Buy local, eat local.

May hanapbuhay.

“Eto, magandang bukana. Kasi, ngayon lang uli bubuksan ang sine. A year and nine months, if I’m not mistaken.

“So, this would be a signal to the investors for the Philippine movie industry to bankroll again our assets, our actors, actresses, talents na to be competitive.

“The next challenge is how our Philippine movie industry be more competitive in terms of craftmanship in producing a content.

“Because with regard to talents, no question. Filipino actors and actresses, or Filipino talents for that matter, are very competitive in the world.

“Recently, o, di ba, may nanalo na namang Pilipino? Si John Arcilla, sa world stage. Again, this will be a signal, whether it will fail or it will succeed, it doesn’t matter to me,” pahayag pa ni Yorme.

“What matters most to me is that a signal for showbiz, Philippine movie industry, to open up again, to invest again to our talents in the country and to produce a very good content, and opportunity is now open,” sey pa ni Mayor Isko na ang tinutukoy ay ang pagkapanalo ni John Arcilla ng Volpi Cup sa Venice International Film Festival.

“This is the reality. Yes, while it is true that we enjoy doing TikTok, doing YouTube, doing Facebook, okay yan. Okay lang ‘yan.

“At least, kahit paano, may outlet tayo. Pero ito yung… let’s rethink. Saan ako dadalhin ng kinabukasan ko? Ano ang naghihintay sa kinabukasan?

“Kasi, kapag napanood nila, mari-realize nila, ‘Ay!

“So, with this picture, with this movie, maiisip nila, masuwerte pa pala sila sa magulang.

“So, kids seeing this, pag napanood ito ng mga bata, hopefully ma-realize nila how they should be grateful to their parents, how they should be grateful of what they have.

“Dahil ang buhay ko na ito, if I my borrow that word, the title of that movie, ‘Mission: Impossible’. Near to impossible. But it did happen. And now, can you imagine, basurero, naging meyor ng Maynila.

“So, that kind of opportunity sa mga bata ngayon, while they enjoy social media, they enjoy creating contents para makilala sila, ma-exercise nila yung talent nila, yung skills nila, there is real world around us.

“And I hope it can make a dent sa buhay nila pag napanood nila yung movie,” sabi pa ni Yorme na siyang magiging narrator sa “Yorme: The Isko Domagoso Story” na idinirek ni Joven Tan.
