Coney super proud sa bagong parangal kay Vico: Let’s help eradicate corruption, yun ang prayer ng heart niya

SIYEMPRE, proud na proud ang veteran actress na si Coney Reyes sa mga bagong achievements ng  anak niyang si Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.

Isa na nga riyan ang paghirang sa batang alkalde bilang isa sa 12 personalidad na kinilala ng US State Department as International Anti-Corruption Champions.

“I am very proud of my son. I’m very grateful to the Lord for all the things He has been doing in him and through Him, kaya nga lagi kong sinasabi, ‘Glory to God.’

“Natutuwa lang ako na kahit paano, nare-recognize yung efforts niya and, actually, he’s not really after the recognition,” pahayag ni Coney sa panayam ng GMA.

“He’s grateful for all these honor, very grateful. Pero what he seeks to do is really make people aware of, yung parang kung hindi pa kayo aware, ito yung nangyayari sa bansa natin.

“Let’s help eradicate corruption, na ma-denormalize na ang corruption, kasi parang nagiging normal na sa kultura natin yung corruption. So, yun ang prayer ng heart niya, alam ko,” sabi pa ng “Love of My Life” actress.

Ayon pa kay Coney, pareho sila ni Vico na hindi nakalilimot sa pagdarasal dahil naniniwala sila sa kapangyarihan nito, “Lagi kaming nagpe-pray. We pray together, in the morning we pray before he leaves basta nandiyan ako.

“Sobrang proud ako sa kanya. Sobrang happy ako. Sana hindi lang ito natatapos dito sa honor na ganito kundi sana maging inspirasyon sa mga ibang leaders, lalo na yung mga kabataan na huwag matakot.

“Na it’s okay to make a stand, and if we make a stand collectively, it can amount to something for the country. It can happen, it is possible. We can do it together.

“But he realized he cannot do it alone. He has a great team. My son has a great staff, great team, and I’m thankful to the Lord for that.

“Kahit isa sa atin, walang kayang gawin on our own kaya laging ine-emphasize ko ang unity, kasi talagang kapag may concerted effort, collaborative efforts, united efforts, kapag united talagang may blessings. So, sana maging united na tayo,” lahad pa ni Coney.

Isa pa sa mga itinuturing na bonggang blessing ng aktres ay ang  mapasama sa cast ng “Love Of My Life.”

“It’s really such a blessing to be part of the cast of Love of My Life, and I enjoyed working with these talented group immensely and grateful for the feedback. We pray that it’s going to leave a mark in the hearts of people.

“And I’ve been telling them, the cast and the production team, na sana it can help them, our viewers, make wise decisions, Godly decisions, in whatever problems they have in life.

“Kasi ngayon, ang gulo-gulo, di ba? Parang everybody’s so stressed out, many people getting depressed, very fearful. So, I know the show will give them some enlightenment, that’s our goal also,” dagdag pa ng award-winning veteran star.
