Regine tinupad ang pangakong pasabog sa ‘Freedom’ concert; trending sa Twitter

TULAD ng ipinangako ng nag-iisang Asia’s Songbird na si Regine Velasquez, maraming pasabog na napanood ang madlang pipol sa kanyang Valentine concert na “Freedom.”

Isang mas personal na live show ang ibinigay ni Regine kagabi sa lahat ng mga taong walang sawang sumusuporta sa kanya mula noon hanggang ngayon.

“Ang feeling ko I’m just singing to one person,” sey ni Regine, na sinabing isang mas personal na show ito habang kinakausap niya ang libo-libong concert-viewers na mula pa sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.

Tunay ngang hindi inaasahan ang mga inawit ng Songbird para sorpresahin ang mga manonood—mula sa “When The Party Is Over” ni Billie Eilish, “Heart Shaker” ng TWICE, “Brooklyn Yellow Brick Road” ni Elton John, at “Hit Me Baby One More Time” ni Britney Spears.

Handog ang nasabing concert ng ABS-CBN Events at IME kasama ang PLDT na nagbigay-buhay din sa bigating “Himala” duet ni Regine kasama ang rock royalty na si Bamboo.

Ang #FreedomConcert, na isa sa top trending topics sa Twitter noong Linggo ng gabi, ay nagpakita rin ng magagandang rendisyon ni Regine ng OPM hits tulad ng “Istorya” ng The Juans at “Leaves” ng Ben&Ben at sariling awitin na ‘”Bukas Sana” at “Tanging Mahal.”

Inialay naman niya sa asawang si Ogie Alcasid ang kanyang “Crazy For You” song number habang inalala ang kanilang 10th wedding anniversary kamakailan.

Isang touching performance din ang ibinigay niya sa kantang “Make You Feel My Love” tampok ang boses ng kanilang anak na si Nate.

Ibinahagi ng Songbird ang kanyang hiling bago matapos ang show, “I realized that we all want freedom from fear, financial difficulties, anxiety, depression, a lot of things. Pero may isa pang uri ng freedom,” at tinukoy nga niya ang katotohanan na sana’y makamit ng lahat ng mga manonood.

“It’s wonderful na kahit paano may ganito tayong platform because otherwise the concert scene will die. We’re able to give jobs to musicians. I also missed performing in a set up like this,” pahayag pa ni Ate Regs.

Dagdag pa niya, “And I also realized that the most important thing in life is our relationship with God, with our family, our friends. I have learned to value them more because of what we all experience.”
