Pelikula ni Alfred Vargas sa MMFF 2020 binoykot ng mga tagasuporta ng ABS-CBN
ISA si Pia Magalona sa mga nag-react when Alfred Vargas explained why he inhibited himself in voting for the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN.
Napilitan kasing mag-explain si Alfred dahil sa panawagan ng netizens na i-boycott ang entry niya sa Metro Manila Film Festival this year.
“You still DID NOT VOTE IN FAVOR of FRANCHISE RENEWAL of ABS-CBN.”
‘Yan ang tweet ni Pia sa explanation ni Alfred who said, “People called me names. Nabastos tayo. Until now, people use this issue against me and my movie. I just want to set the record straight. I inhibited from voting because of the circumstances that I was in. We want to always follow the law.”
Sa thread sa Twitter ay lalo pang na-bash si Alfred.
“Gusto pa pla mag artista tpos inhibited sa renewal ng franchise ng ABS CBN! Bukod sa bashings, tanggapin mo rin ang ganti nmin, NO TO ALFRED VARGAS!”
“Ang tawag dyan karma, Alfred. KARMA!”
“Wawa naman yung kasama sa movie nya madadamay sa curse ni Alfred.”
“HAHA flop yung movie nya, deserve naman.”
“Yung utang na loob mo na lang sa @ABSCBN sa na itulong sa career mo, Congresswomen Vilma Santos and Sol Aragones voted no sa shutdown! humingi ka ng help sa 70 congressman manood ng movie mo.”
“Mas malala nga ung pag abstain nyo, an abstention is always a vote for the majority. Anyway, irrelevant ka rin naman at kahit sa showbiz isa kang DA WHO. Walang talent pa sa pag arte. Sure ako record breaking FLOP ang movie mo.”

Mukhang effective naman ang panawagang boycott dahil parang wala kaming naririnig about Alfred’s movie.
Ang masakit pa, hindi nominated ang actor para sa performance niya sa Metro Manila Film Festival movie niya.

Sa Boracay nagdiwang ng Pasko si Kim Chiu kasama ang boyfriend niyang si Xian Lim.
Sa kanyang Instagram photos ay kitang-kita na sobrang na-enjoy ng “It’s Showtime” host ang kanyang short vacation. Ang dami niyang kuha sa nasabing international beach destination na siguro ay si Xian ang kumuha ng pictures. Wala kasi siya sa mga photos na ipinost ni Kim.
The only photo that Kim had with Xian ay ang isang litrato na kuha after nilang bumaba ng eroplano with this caption, “First time to ride a plane since lock down, after 11 months!
