‘Mindanao’ wagi sa anim na kategorya sa FAP Luna awards; Judy Ann, best actress

Naulit na namang hakutin ng pelikulang “Mindanao” ni Judy Ann Santos ang anim na awards sa katatapos na 38th Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) nitong Biyernes, Disyembre 18, sa UNTV.

Ang pelikula ring ito ni Brillante Mendoza ang maraming nakuhang awards noong Metro Manila Film Festival 2019.

Nasungkit nito ang sumusunod:

Best Actress – Judy Ann Santos, Best Picture – Mindanao

Best Director – Brillante Mendoza, Best Screenplay – Honeylyn Joy Alipio

Best Musical Score – Teresa Barrozo at Best Cinematography – Odyssey Flores

Matatandaang inanunsyo noong Nobyembre 24 na ang “Mindanao” ang entry ng Pilipinas sa kategoryang International Feature Film para sa Oscars or 93rd Academy Awards.

Anyway, nakuha naman ng batang si Jansen Magpusao ang Best Actor award para sa “John Denver Trending” na napanalunan din niya sa 2019 Cinemalaya Film Festival.

Pasok din si Meryll Soriano bilang Best Supporting Actress bilang nanay ni Jansen sa “John Denver Trending.”

Nakuha naman ni Soliman Cruz ang Best Supporting Actor para sa pelikulang Iska,

Best Sound Design: Nicole Amores & RJ Cantos sa pelikulang Cleaners, Best Editing: Marya Ignacio ng Hello, Love, Goodbye at Best Production Design si Alvin Francisco sa pelikulang “Edward.”

Nakatanggap naman ng Special awards ang namayapang German Moreno para sa Lamberto Avellana Memorial Award at si Nick Lizaso para sa FPJ Memorial Award.

Going back to “Mindanao,” umaasa ang buong industriya na makapasok ito sa  93rd Academy Awards sa Abril 25, 2021 na gaganapin sa Dolby Theatre Hollywood sa Los Angeles, California.
