Hepe ng pulisya nangkil sa treasure hunter, dakip
ARESTADO ang hepe ng pulisya sa Godod, Zamboanga del Norte, para sa umano’y pangingikil sa isang treasure hunter.
Naaresto si Capt. Haran Ulah sa entrapment operation sa mismong istasyon ng lokal na pulisya kahapon ng hapon, sabi ni Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee, direktor ng PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group.
Isinagawa ng IMEG, kasama ang mga tauhan ng Provincial Intelligence Branch at Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Branch, ang operasyon pasado alas-4.
Bago ito, humingi ng saklolo sa IMEG ang isang Jose Abarca dahil hiningan umano siya ni Ulah ng P10,000 na “protection money” noong Mayo 29, para sa paghahanap ng una sa diumano’y nakabong kayamanan sa Sitio Riverside, Brgy. Raba.
Dinampot si Ulah nang tanggapin ang P5,000 marked bills mula sa complainant.
Narekober kay Ulah ang marked money, at kinumpiska ang kanyang government-issued M16 rifle at cal. 45 pistol, pati ang dalawa niyang cellphone.
Kaugnay nito, tiniyak ni Lee na agad aaksyunan ng IMEG ang mga ulat laban sa mga tiwaling pulis, kahit ano pang ranggo.
“We will immediately and properly act on all complaints against erring police officers and men being forwarded to us.”
“There will be no respite in our crackdown against police scalawags and other rogues in government service,” ani Lee.
