NAGHAIN ng panukala si Quezon City Rep. Onyx Crisologo upang maging handa ang bansa sakaling muling magkaroon ng pandemic outbreak.
Sa ilalim ng House Bill 6719, magtatayo ng national public health emergencies council na siyang tututok sa mga sakit at magrerekomenda ng mga hakbang upang maiwasan ang pagkalat nito sa bansa.
Sinabi ni Crisologo na naging hamon ang coronavirus sa kakayanan ng gobyerno na humarap sa public health emergencies at ipinakita nito ang mga kakulangan na kailangang punan.
“Establishing an Emergency Council is an effective tool and accentuates,” ani Crisologo.
“It is imperative to ensure that the policies in place are responsive to their needs and that the existing strategic plans are constantly effective, efficiently developed, monitored and evaluated.”
