NANANATILI I ang tiwala ni Pangulong Duterte kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, ayon sa Malacanang.
Sa press briefing, sinabi ni Plpresidential spokesperson Harry Roque na kampante ang Pangulo na masasagot ni Duque ang lahat ng alegasyon ukol sa umano’y iregularidad sa pagresponde ng kagawaran sa Covid-19 pandemic.
“The President has time and again expressed his continuing trust and confidence po kay Sec. Duque and kampante naman po ang Presidente na masasagot po ni Sec. Duque lahat ng alegasyon sa Ombudsman,” ani Roque.
Kahapon ay inanunsyo ng Office of the Ombudsman na magsagawa ito ng imbestigasyon kay Duque at iba pang opisyal ng Department of Health.
Ipag-utos na rin ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires ang pagbuo ng joint investigation team na magbubusisi sa ginawagang pagtugon ni Duque sa pandemya. –Radyo Inquirer
