Kamara hinimok na tignan ang kontribusyon ng ABS-CBN sa bansa

UMAPELA si ABS-CBN vice chairman Atty. Augusto “Jake” Almeda-Lopez sa Kongreso na kilalanin ang naging kontribusyon ng channel 2 at ang 11,000 empleyado na umaasa rito.

Sa pagdinig ng House committees on Legislative Franchises at on Good Government and Public Accountability, nagsasalita si Lopez kaugnay ng kahalagahan ng ABS-CBN ng putulin ang pagsasalita nito.

“Can you give me another two minutes?  You know we are fighting for our lives,” apela ni Lopez.

“We deserve the renewal of our franchise, and that if you don’t renew our franchise you’re going to deprive the public of so much entertainment, news, and more or less the building of culture,” giit pa nito.

Bukod sa ABS-CBN at dzMM, sinabi ni Lopez na may ambag din ang ibang channel nito gaya ng Knowledge Channel na kinilala pa ng United Nations bilang isang pinaka epektibong public service programs sa bansa.

Tumutulong din umano ang ABS-CBN Foundation sa mga Pilipinong nangangailangan. Isa sa mga programa ng foundation ay ang Bantay Bata na tumutulong sa mga batang Pilipino laban sa mga nangangailangan.

“So I plead to the members of Congress to give ABS-CBN a chance to show its worth and contribution to the country,” saad ni Lopez.
