Pops, Martin nawiwirduhan sa Team Hopia na umaasa pa rin sa ‘balikan’

IN FAIRNESS, kahit matagal nang hiwalay ang dating mag-asawang Martin Nievera at Pops Fernandez ay marami pa rin silang fans na umaasang sa ending ay sila pa rin ang magkakatuluyan.
Ang tawag nga nina Martin at Pops sa mga solid supporters nila na naniniwalang magkakabalikan sila ay “Team Hopia” o yung mga taong “hoping” pa rin sa kanilang reconciliation.
Sey ng ex-couple, mawiwirduhan sila sa pagsi-ship pa rin sa kanila ng mga fans pero naiintindihan naman daw nila ang feelings nga mga ito.

“You know, we don’t want ever, even in our separate careers to treat our audience like they’re stupid, like they’re dumb, like they don’t know the truth.
“Let’s not do that, let’s not talk down to the audiences. They know so much because of social media, and because of all of you (press people), they know everything about us.
“So, let’s not fool them just for the sake of money. We really work well together. This is really a great team. Whether or not we had a past,” ang punto pa ng Concert King.
Samantala, sinabi ni Martin na ang “Always & Forever” concert nila ni Pipay is a celebration of their incredible 40-year journey as one of the most iconic duos in the music industry.
“She did the math. Sa’n ka nakakita ng ganyan. Mas nagtagal kami on-stage,” biro ni Nartin na sinagot naman ni Pops ng, “At least that we can celebrate… very exciting. We can’t wait to get on stage, curious kami to see.”
Sey pa ng Concert Queen, “Hindi ito excerpts of our other shows, this is a brand new show. Although you will hear a lot of familiar songs during our era, we are studying a lot of other new tunes. I’ve been studying myself in my room really trying to concentrate and learning all the new songs for ‘Always and Forever.’
Para naman kay Martin, “When Pops and I are onstage, we do our songs together. That’s part of our set list. We will do songs that tell our story from then and until now using the music from that era.
“The best time for me was from the eighties. Even my playlist was all from the ’80s. I never moved from that era,” dagdag ng Concert King.
Aniya pa patungkol sa tandem nila ni Pops, “If we are not performing together, she is a guest in my concert and I am always a guest in her concert. We’re a team. We’ve always been in each other’s shows. We don’t really need a guest unless we want to have fun with someone.”
Ang “Always & Forever” na magaganap sa Mall of Asia Arena sa February 7, ay magsisilbi ring celebration para sa kanilang 40th anniversary bilang iconic tandem sa entertainment industry.
