Brgy. chair niratrat sa COVID outpost, patay

NASAWI ang isang barangay chairman ng Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, nang pagbabarilin ng mga armado, habang nagbabantay laban sa COVID-19, kagabi.

Ikinasawi ni Harrison Gonzales y Kalobiran, chairman ng Brgy. Poblacion 1, ang tama ng bala sa iba-ibang bahagi ng katawan, ayon sa ulat ng Negros Oriental provincial police.

Naganap ang insidente sa outpost ng Poblacion 1, dakong alas-9:30.

Binabantayan ni Gonzales at ilang kagawad ang pagdaan-daan ng mga residente, bilang bahagi ng safety measures laban sa COVID-19, nang bigla siyang lapitan at pagbabarilin ng mga di kilalang tao, ayon sa ulat.

Dinala pa sa pagamutan si Gonzales, pero idineklarang patay alas-10:15.

Natagpuan naman sa pinangyarihan ang walong basyo’t daalawang slug ng kalibre-.45 pistola.

Inaalam pa ng pulisya ang pagkakakilanlan, kinaroroonan, at motibo ng mga salarin, na agad tumakas matapos ang insidente.
