Vivian-Lea

“When will you guys realize this rotten system Duterte seeks to dismantle would not just fade without giving a fight… the oligarchy, political opposition, the druglords and their protectors, human rights activists, NPAs, terrorists…all going against the president to stop change, not to mention the foreign intervention.

“We are on a correcting stage and unity is our lifejacket at this increasingly divisive time. I say, let’s love our country flaws and all. #MahalKongPilipinas,” she added.

Two of Vivian’s Facebook followers lambasted Lea. One said, “Shame on you lea..matalino ka pero nagpakabobo ka this time.”

“Magiging lea salongganisa na siya talaga,” comment naman ng isa.

Some netizens believe that Lea’s pagmumura has something to do with the guilty verdict kay Maria Ressa ng Manila Trial Court para sa kaso nitong cyber libel at sa pinag-uusapang anti-terrorism bill.

Isang netizen ang sinagot Lea ng, “Here’s my problem… I don’t possess a lot of trust in the things I see and read, even if and when the sources are supposed to be those in which we should be able to have unquestionable trust.

“Second, I house a conspiracy theorist in my head, one that I do try to quell in order to stay focused on the long game.

“Third, there is always a sense of fear that if anyone pisses off the wrong guy, one can get shot in broad daylight,” she said.

“I would like to think that in a functioning democracy, this should never be anyone’s fear, that their criticism would land them in jail, or worse, a corpse lying on a curb,” Lea added.
