DepEd may request sa magdo-donate ng laptop, tablet

MAY request ang Department of Education sa mga magdo-donate desktop, laptop, tablet o smartphone sa mga guro at estudyante ng pampublikong paaralan para sa “new normal” sa sektor ng edukasyon.

Sa ilalim ng OUA Memo 00-0620-0030, ang minimum technical specification ng laptop o desktop ay 1.6Ghz processor, 8GB Memory, 13-inch screen, 512GB HDD SATA storage, may speaker, camera at wireless LAN (wifi), Bluetooth, at mga ports (USB, SD, HDMI, audio jack).

Para sa 2-in-1 tablet PC, ang processor ay 1.1Ghz, memory na 4GB DDR3, 10-inch screen, 32GB storage capacity, may speaker at mga ports.

Para sa ibibigay na tablet hiniling ng DepEd na ito ay may Quad-core 1.3Ghz processor, 2GB memory, 8-inch screen, 32 GB storage capacity, may 4G LTE, wifi at Bluetooth connectivity, at Android 9.0 operating system.

Para sa smartphone, Octa-core 2.0Ghz processor, 2GB memory, 6-inch screen, 32GB storage capacity, may wifi at Bluetooth connectivity at SIM card slot at ang operating system ay Android 8.1.

Hiling din ng DepEd na para sa nais magbigay ng internet allowance sa mga guro sana ay P500 kada buwan para sa 10GB bandwidth at P300 kada buwan sa estudyante para sa 6GB bandwidth.

“These minimum specifications will facilitate the conduct of distance education, under the COVID-19 pandemic and such other emergencies in the future and will be appropriate to digital contents and software applications that will be installed by DepEd.

Hindi na umano kailangang bumili ng Microsoft Office dahil ang DepEd ay mayroong Special Volume Licensing Arrangement.

“Upon request, DepEd can arrange an Email of Eligibility for donors from Microsoft that can be provided to device manufacturers to build fresh devices with discounted Windows 10 Operating System,” saad ng Memorandum.

Nais din ng DepEd na linawin ng magbibigay kung ito ay donasyon o pahiram (commodatum) sa eskuwelahan o School Division. Maaari ring magbigay ng gamit direkta sa guro o estudyante.
