POSIBLE umanong umabot sa 10 milyon ang bilang ng mga Filipino na mawalan ng trabaho bunsod ng epekto ng coronavirus disease 2019.
Ito ang inamin ni Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello sa pagdinig ng Senate committee of the whole kanila.
Ngayon ay umaabot na umano ng 2.6 milyon ang nawalan ng trabaho sa buong bansa.
“Yung 2.6 million, that is the actual number of workers either displaced because of temporary closure or because of the flexible work arrangement. Our estimate is that we may go as high as 5 million,” ani Bello.
Pero nang tanungin kaugnay ng mga pagtataya ng Kamara de Representantes aabot ang mawawalan ng trabaho sa 10 milyon sagot ni Bello “I hate to say it but its possible.”
Gumagawa ng Economic Stimulus package ang Kamara upang mabawasan ang bilang ng mga mawawalan ng gobyerno gaya ng pagpapautang sa mga Micro Small and Medium Enterprises kung saan pumapasok ang 65 porsyento ng work force ng bansa.
