Walang oposisyon, prangkisa ng ABS-CBN ibigay agad
DAPAT umanong bilisan ng Kamara de Representantes ang pagpapalawig sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN 2 na mage-expire sa Mayo 4, ang araw kung kailan magbubukas ang sesyon ng Kongreso.
Punto ni Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman walang “credible opposition” sa pag-renew sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN kaya dapat aprubahan na ito ng Kamara.
“Considering that there is no credible opposition to the extension of the franchise, then it is imperative that the beleaguered ABS-CBN be rescued from the quagmire of legal limbo by enacting without further delay such extension.”
“The positive action initially by the House, where private bills like legislative franchises emanate, will verily uphold press freedom and free expression.”
