KUNG social distancing at quarantine ang paraan ng maraming bansa para makaiwas sa Covid-19, prusisyon naman ng mga hubad na babae ang panlaban sa virus ng bansang Ivory Coast
Ayon sa aide ng isang hari roon, nagbabalak ang kanyang amo na magsagawa ng prusisyon ng mga naka-bold na babae upang humingi ng proteksyon mula sa mga espirito.
Noong isang linggo ay nagsagawa rin ng espesyal na exorcism ceremony ang hari ng Sanwi upang humingi ng tulong sa langit para proteksyunan ang kanyang nasasakupan na may tatlong milyon na populasyon.
Kadalasan ay libo-libo ang dumadalo sa nasabing seremonyas pero dahil sa mga paghihigpit kaugnay sa coronavirus ay nasa 50 katao lang ang nanood nang personal.
“I ask God … to protect the population and keep this virus away from the kingdom, Ivory Coast and the world,” ani King Amon N’Douffou V.
Ayon sa nasabing aide ng N’Douffou, tanging mga hari lang ang may karapatang humingi ng tulong sa mga espirito.
“The king can order women who hold this secret to perform the ‘adjalou’ — a procession through the village to protect the people,” aniya.
“During Adjalou, these women are naked and we confine men and children in their homes,” dagdag niya. “The women erect barricades at the entrance of villages to prevent bad spirits from entering and claiming lives.”
Sa kasalukuyan ay mayroon nang mahigit 1,000 kaso ng Covid-19 sa Ivory Coast. –AFP
