Hirit ni Christian: Online fundraising concerts hindi lang pera-pera
“PARANG ayoko na laging nanghihingi.” Ito ang nasabi ni Christian Bautista tungkol sa sunud-sunod na fundraising concert ngayong panahon ng health crisis.
Ayon sa Kapuso singer-actor, napakalaking tulong ng mga charity shows para makalikom ng donasyon na maipamamahagi sa mga naapektuhan ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Pero paglilinaw ni Christian, hindi lang naman ang paghingi ng donasyon ang layunin ng mga online o digital fundraising concert, nais din daw nilang makapagbigay ng saya at inspirasyon habang naka-enhanced community quarantine pa rin ang bansa.
Ilang beses na ring nakilahok si Christian sa mga fundraising online concert at talagang ibang-iba raw ang feeling habang kumakanta siya for a cause.
“Everyone is willing to help, everyone is excited to perform, and everyone is also excited to inspire,” chika ng Asia’s Romantic Balladeer sa panayam ng GMA 7.
Dagdag pa niya, “Parang dati noong (bagyong) Ondoy, nagkaroon din ng big group who wanted to help and offered their music, ganyan.
“But at the end of the day also, the artists will eventually be needing to shift somehow because as long as there is no cure, there will be no live events.
“Paano na ang taping, paano na ang concert, paano na ang bar? We have to think of ways din how to shift to this new age,” aniya pa.
At dahil alam niya na iba’t iba ang panlasa ng mga online viewers, “When I do fundraising concert, I do my best to balance my words.
“What I mean is I ask for help or donate to help other people pero, at the same time, I have to realize that maybe some people who need help are watching.
“So parang merong spiels na if you have extra, please give. If you have nothing, then just share this video then maybe someone will be able to give. Or pray or encourage one another. Be kind or stay home,” pahayag pa ng Kapuso singer.
Dito rin niya nabanggit na hindi lang “pera-pera” ang layunin ng mga fundraising concert, kundi ang pasayahin at aliwin ang lahat ng Team Bahay habang may krisis.
“Parang ayoko na laging nanghihingi. Gusto ko rin sabihin sa mga manonood na I also want to entertain you, as well.
“I also balance my songs na there will be inspirational songs, there will be songs na love songs, or pampasaya na songs o help us maybe remember the good old days,” pahayag pa ni Christian.
