AGAD na tatapusin ng Kamara de Representantes ang panukalang economic stimulus package na makatutulong umano upang muling gumulong ang ekonomiya ng bansa.

Ayon kay House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez kailangan ng gobyerno ang batas upang mabawasan ang epekto sa ekonomiya ng coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

“This unprecedented health crisis will slow down our economic growth this year,” ani Romualdez. “We need to step up and identify all other programs and projects needed to fill the gaps in the implementation of the social amelioration program. We have to cast a wider net so that more families will benefit from other social programs that we have to implement,” ani Romualdez.

Sa isang online hearing noong Martes ay inaprubahan ng technical working group ang House Defeat COVID Committee ang pagsama-sama sa iba’t ibang panukala na may kaugnayan sa economic stimulus package ng gobyerno.

Ayon kay House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, chairman ng DCC, ang mga pagpupulong na ipatatawag ng TWG ay sesentro sa kalusugan, peace and order, social amelioration at economic stimulus.
