Walang sintomas ng COVID-19 hindi sakop ng mass testing–Nograles

SINABI ni Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na kumpiyansa ang pamahalaan na kaya ng gobyerno na maabot ang target na 3,000 testing kada araw para sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Idinagdag ni Nograles na batay na rin sa naunang ulat ni COVID-19 Response Chief Implementor Secretary Carlito Galvez na umabot na sa 15 testing centers na ang inaprubahan para magsagawa ng testing. 

Sinabi ni Nograles na kabilang sa mga testing centers ang St. Luke’s Quezon City at Bonifacio Global City, V. Luna Hospital in Quezon City, Medical City sa Pasig, Makati Medical Center, at Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory.

“Because of these developments, the DOH says that we are now in a better position to reach our target of 3,000 tests per day. As of yesterday, a total of 33,814 individuals have been tested for COVID-19,” sabi ni Nograles.

Niliwanag ni Nograles na sakop lamang ng mass testing ang mga nakaospital na mga pasyente kagaya ng mga matatanda at buntis at may mga iniindang karamdaman.

Kasama rin sa mass testing ang mga healthcare workers at persons under investigations, ayon pa kay Nograles.

“Hindi po tayo magma-mass testing ng walang sintomas,” paliwanag ni Nograles.

Nauna nang inihayag ni Galvez na magsisimula bukas, Abril 14, ang mass testing.

Ayon kay Nograles, aabot na sa 2,673 ang quarantine facilities sa bansa na may 165,756 kabuuang bed capacities.

“Today, for example, the Rizal Memorial Stadium facility will be completed, and in the next few days we expect other facilities to start accepting PUIs, as well. Maliban po pasilidad, tatauhan din sila ng mga mangangalaga sa ating kalusugan – mula sa tagalinis hanggang sa espesyalista. Ang mga katuwang nating pribadong mga kumpanya ay maglalagak din ng sapat na supplies para sa mga pasyente at mga health workers na maglilingkod doon,” dagdag ni Nograles.
