Public disclosure ng personal information ng COVID-19 patients mandatory na– Nograles

SINABI ni Inter-Agency Task Force spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na mandatory na ang pagsasapubliko ng personal information ng mga pasyenteng nagpositibo sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“The IATF adopts the policy of mandatory public disclosure of personal information relating to positive COVID-19 cases to enhance the contact-tracing efforts of the government. Para po matulungan ang contact-tracing efforts ng ating pamahalaan, mandatory o required na po ang paglalahad ng personal na impormasyon pagdating sa ating mga Covid-19 cases,” sabi ni Nograles.

Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Nograles na ang Office of Civil Defense (OCD) na ang inatasan para manguna sa isasagawang contact-tracing, sa tulong ng mga Local Government Units (LGUs).

“For this purpose, the DOH and the OCD are directed to enter into a data-sharing agreement (DSA) in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 or the “Data Privacy Act.” Ang OCD na po ang mangunguna sa contact-tracing efforts ng pamahalaan at sila ay inaatasang makipag-ugnayan sa DOH para mag-share ng datos alinsunod sa Data Privacy Act,” ayon pa kay Nograles.
