ITINATAYO na ang ikalawang temporary quarantine site Quezon City kung saan dadalhin ang mga taong posibleng nahawa ng coronavirus disease 2019.
Nagtutulong-tulong ang Rotary International District 3780 Quezon City government, GKonomics International Inc. at St. Theresa’s College Batch of Quezon City 1985 sa pagtatayo ng quarantine site sa Quezon City University sa Novaliches.
Ayon kay Bagong Henerasyon Rep. Bernadette Herrera, governor ng Rotary District 3780, isang memorandum of agreement ang nilagdaan para sa proyektong tinawag na Kalinga Kontra Korona QC (Hope KKK QC).
Ang Korean-Philippine Building ng unibersidad ay lalagyan ng 150 higaan para sa mga persons under investigation at persons under monitoring.
“This is our way of helping the city government prevent the further spread of COVID-19 by separating PUIs and PUMs from the community, especially those with no capacity to strictly observe home quarantine,” ani Herrera. “By having this quarantine facility, we will also be able to maximize the availability of hospital beds for patients with severe symptoms and patients with comorbidities.”
Ayon kay Rose Cabrera, ng GKonomics International Inc., naging inspirasyon sa proyekto ang “KKK Kalinga Kontra Korona” project ng Alumni Association of Xavier School Inc. sa San Juan City, na nasa likod ng paggamit sa bagong gusali ng San Juan City Science High School para maging quarantine site.
Nauna ng itinayo ng Quezon City government ang HOPE I, isang alternative medical facility na mapupuntahan ng mga PUI at PUM ng Quezon City General Hospital, Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital at Novaliches District Hospital.
