NBI sa isyu kay Mayor Vico: Politicized, sensationalized

MARIING itinanggi ng isang opisyal ng National Bureau of Investigation na walang bahid ng politika sa ginawa nilang pagpapatawag nila kay Mayor Vico Sotto para magpaliwanag sa posible raw paglabag nito sa Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

Nakatanggap kasi ng negatibong reaksyon mula sa mga netizens at ilang mga sikat na personalidad ang ginawang ito ng NBI. Marami rin ang nagtatanong kung bakit parang nadagdag na lang ang pagpapatawag din kay Senator Koko Pimentel sa paglabag nito sa quarantine protocols bilang isang person under monitoring.

Sa interview ng ABS-CBN sinabi ni NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin na hindi namumulitika ang NBI.

“Ang NBI naman hindi namumulitika. Hindi kami namulitika kahit kailan.” aniya.

Sinabi rin nya na may mga iba rin silang tinitingnang mga alleged violations mula sa barangay at lokal na pamahalaan sa Cebu, Masbate at Las Piñas kasama na rin ang nangyaring protesta sa Sitio San Roque sa Quezon City nitong Miyerkules.

Sinabi rin ni Lavin na ang issue kay Sotto ay “politicized” at “sensationalized”.

“It’s well within the powers of the agency. Hindi lang naman ito kay Mayor Sotto. Medyo na-politicize lang ito, nasensationalize, ‘yung kay Mayor Sotto.” aniya
